On 7/24 a Thorofare resident was issued traffic summonses for Improper Crossing of the Roadway and Crossing not in a Designated Crosswalk after running into traffic on S. Broad St. causing drivers to abruptly stop. A summons for Breach of Peace was also issued. Court date pending.
On 7/24 a Thorofare resident was issued a summons for Lewdness and Littering after being observed urinating on the corner of 48 S. Broad Street and throwing the summons on the ground. Court date pending.

On 7/24 a Woodbury resident reported the theft of his cell phone while it was charging on an outside outlet at Master Rich’s Martial Arts Studio. Approximate cost to replace the phone is $200. No suspects at this time.

On 7/25 a Philadelphia resident was issued traffic summonses for Fictitious Plates, Driving While Suspended, Unlicensed Driver, Failure to Exhibit Driver’s License, and Maintenance of Lamps. The owner of the vehicle was issued a summons for Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Operate their vehicle. Court date pending.

On 7/25 a Thorofare resident was issued summonses for Obstructing the Roadway, Disorderly Conduct, and Breach of Peace after he was observed walking in the middle of the street and obstructing traffic near South Broad Street and Carpenter Street. Court date pending.

On 7/26 Officers responded to Family Dollar for a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim, a National Park resident, advised while he was shopping someone jumped on his bike and fled the area. No suspects at this time.

On 7/26 a Woodbury Heights resident was placed under arrest for an active warrant for her arrest as the result of a pedestrian stop on Academy Avenue in Woodbury Heights.

On 7/27 a Barrington resident and Maple Shade resident were charged with Shoplifting, Receiving Stolen Property, Unlawful Taking Means of Conveyance, and Disorderly Conduct after Shoplifting from CVS. Court dates pending.

On 7/28 a Mount Royal resident was issued a traffic summons for Carless Driving as the result of a motor vehicle crash at Delaware and S. Jackson Streets. Court date pending.

During a traffic stop on 7/29 it was learned the driver had a suspended license and several active warrants. The Woodbury resident was placed under arrest and taken back to headquarters. The subject was ROR’d by the issuing jurisdictions with new court dates. The male was released with summonses for Driving on Suspended Driver License, Driving with Suspended Registration, Affixing Fraudulent Inspection Sticker, Failure to produce DL, Registration and Insurance, Failure to make repairs, and Uninsured Motorist. Court dates are pending.

On 7/30 a Clarksboro resident was issued several traffic summonses after causing a motor vehicle accident at Salem Avenue and Glover Street. Court date pending.

On 7/30 a Woodbury Heights resident reported sometime overnight someone hit his vehicle while it was legally parked on Helen Avenue. No suspects at this time.

On 7/31 officers responded to U-Haul on Glassboro Rd., Woodbury Heights for a theft report. Employees advised a Westville resident rented a truck on 7/15 and has failed to return the vehicle. Officers attempted to speak with the subject over the phone, however, she hung up the phone. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. The subject was charged with Unlawful taking by means of conveyance and mailed to her address in Westville. Court date pending.

On 7/31 a Westville resident was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for her arrest as the result of a motor vehicle stop on Candidus Avenue in Woodbury Heights. Before being transported to and lodged in at the Camden County Correctional Facility she was issued summonses for Tinted Windows, Failure to Exhibit Proof of Insurance and Failure to Inspect. Court dates pending.

On 7/31 a citizen turned in a found wallet. Officers were able to contact the owner and turn over the wallet.

On 7/17 a N. Maple Street resident reported someone removed gasoline from his vehicle’s tank between July 14 and July 17. No suspects at this time.

On 7/17 Fire Department personnel reported unknown person(s) damage an awning support post while attempting to steal a lawnmower that was chained around the support. Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/18 a Camden resident was observed panhandling in front of the Family Dollar. The females was issued a summons for Trespassing and sent on her way. Court date pending.

On 7/18 a vehicle reported stolen out of Howard County, Maryland was located on S Broad Street. Howard County Police Department was notified and removed NCIC.

On 7/19 a Family Dollar employee reported a Shoplifting. A male concealed approximately $200 worth of merchandise inside a bag and left the store without paying. The employee provided a name for a possible suspect as she has seen him around town in the past. Incident remains under investigation.

On 7/20 a Camden resident was observed drinking alcohol while walking on Broad St. Summonses were issued for Possession of an Open Container and Consumption of Alcohol in Public. Court date pending.

As the result of a traffic stop on 7/20, a Woodbury resident was arrested and charged with Possession of Prescription Legend Drugs, Possession of Methamphetamine, Distribution of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia. The male was issued several traffic tickets then lodged in the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 7/20 during a pedestrian stop on Progress Ave., it was learned the male had two active warrants for his arrest. The male was turned over to Monroe Township Police.

On 7/21 a Camden resident was issued a summons for Trespassing on Evergreen Square property. Court date pending.

On 7/22 a patient at Inspira was charged with Aggravated Assault on Health Care Workers after spitting on 5 employees who were attempting to provide care. Court date pending.

On 7/23 a Thorofare resident was issued a summons for Lewdness after urinating by the Police Department’s front door. Court date pending.

On 7/23 Officers were dispatched several times to an East Barber Avenue residence for noise complaints. After refusing to lower the music, ordinance complaints were issued to the tenant and the landlord. Court dates pending.

On 7/23 a Crescent Avenue resident reported his vehicle was stolen sometime overnight. Incident remains under investigation.
