On 8/11, during a routine traffic stop, it was learned that the driver, a Turnersville resident, had an active warrant for his arrest out of Camden City. Camden City ROR’d the driver and issued a new court date. The driver was issued a traffic summons and released. Court dates are pending.

On 8/12, a West Deptford resident was charged with simple assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside a Deptford Avenue residence. Court date pending.

On 8/12, a property owner on Salem Avenue received a summons for high weeds/grass after ignoring requests to address the issue. Court date pending.

On 8/12, a Pennsauken resident was observed consuming alcohol in front of Towne Liquors. The alcohol was poured out and placed in the trash receptacle. A summons for consuming alcohol in public was given. The court date is pending.

On 8/13, officers responded to Grey Fox Animal Hospital for a fraud report. Employees reported that a check was written to one of their vendors and placed in the mail on June 5th. When they balanced the account, they discovered that the check had been altered. The bank has been informed of the situation, and this incident is currently under investigation.

On 8/14, a Westville resident was issued a summons for criminal mischief after trying to puncture the tire of a Woodbury Police vehicle. The court date is pending.

On 8/14, a Williamstown resident was charged with theft after he failed to return to Wawa in Woodbury Heights and pay for the gas he had received several hours earlier. The court date is pending.

On 8/8, a Philadelphia, PA, resident was issued a summons for trespassing at the Woodbury Youth Football Field. The court date is pending.

On 8/9, officers responded to Dollar General for a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male had entered the store, taken Tide Detergent, valued at $21.00, from the shelf, and left without paying. Officers found the suspect in the area of Evergreen and Gantt Ave. The male was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also informed that he was no longer welcome at the store and would be charged with trespassing if he returned. The court date is pending.

On 8/10, officers responded to a residence on Delaware Street for a report of an unwanted person. The officers made contact with a male who had previously been trespassed from the property. The individual was arrested and charged with trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. A court date is pending.

On 8/10, the Audubon Police Department transferred a male subject with an outstanding warrant from Woodbury. The male, a Woodbury resident, was processed before being turned over to the Sheriff’s Department for transport to the Salem County Jail. His court date is pending.

On 8/5, a resident of Camden was given summonses for obstruction of justice, public consumption of alcohol, having an open container, and breach of peace. This was a result of causing a disturbance inside a business on S. Broad Street. The woman was warned not to return to the store or would be charged with trespassing. A court date is pending.

On 8/5, officers were called to Woodbury Heights, Wawa, for a report of shoplifting. Employees reported that an unknown male walked behind the counter, took 6 packs of Newport Menthol 100 cigarettes, and left without paying. The officers identified the suspect and charged him with shoplifting. A court date is pending.

On 8/6, a high grass/weeds summons was issued to a property owner on Dare Street after requests to correct the issue went unresolved. Court date pending.

On 8/6, a summons for high grass/weeds and trash/debris was issued to a Nelson Avenue property owner after requests to correct the issue went unresolved. Court date pending.

On 8/6, a Sicklerville resident was charged with shoplifting after being identified as the person who stole from Woodbury Heights Wawa the day before. Court date is pending.

On 8/7, officers were dispatched to Wawa on N. Evergreen Ave. for a shoplifting report. Employees reported that they observed a male placing multiple cans of Red Bull totaling $96.96 into a bag and running out of the store when he noticed he was being watched. The incident remained under investigation until 8/8, when the subject was positively identified as a West Deptford resident. The male was charged with shoplifting, and a court date is pending.

On 8/7, a Maple Ave., Woodbury Heights property owner was issued a summons for failing to obtain a certificate of occupancy. Court date is pending.

On 8/7, officers were dispatched to Heritage Dairy Store on N. Broad Street for a shoplifting report that occurred earlier in the day. Employees reported that an unknown male entered the store and concealed 7 bottles of 5-Hour Energy Xtra Strength, totaling $20.14. Officers were able to positively identify the suspect as a Bridgeport resident and charged him accordingly. A court date is pending.

On 8/1, a summons for high weeds/grass was issued to the owner of the vacant Walgreens after the matter had yet to be resolved. Court date pending.

On 8/2, officers responded to Aldi due to a complaint of a male harassing customers for money. Officers made contact with the individual and issued summonses for trespassing and soliciting. The male was advised not to return to Aldi. Court date is pending.

On 8/2, a Pennsville resident was charged with DUI and reckless driving. Court date pending.

On 8/3, a Westville resident came to the police headquarters to surrender regarding an active traffic warrant. The individual was released on their own recognizance by the issuing municipality and given a new court date.

On 8/4, summonses were issued to three subjects for possession of an open container of alcohol. They were observed sitting in Lot 323, consuming alcohol. The alcohol was properly disposed of, and court dates are pending.

On 8/4, Camden Metro contacted officers to inform them they had a female in custody with an active warrant out of Woodbury. The female did not have money for bail. Woodbury Police met Camden Metro at Brooklawn Circle, and the subject was transferred to their custody. Upon arrival at headquarters, it was discovered that the female had money to post towards her bail. The money was accepted, a new court date was set, and she was released.

On 7/29, a Logan Street resident turned himself in on an active warrant for his arrest. The subject was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and transported to the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 7/30, a Philadelphia resident received a summons for being in the park after dark after repeated warnings about the park’s closing time. The court date is pending.

On 7/30, officers were dispatched to the Conoco Gas Station on Woodbury Glassboro Road for a report of a stolen U-Haul box truck. Several days later Camden Police located the truck unoccupied in their jurisdiction. The truck was secured for processing. This incident is currently under investigation. Once the person responsible is identified, they will be charged accordingly.

On 7/30, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Woodbury Tobacco. An employee explained that a male entered the store, walked behind the counter, and took six packs of Newport cigarettes, costing $73.77. Officers identified the suspect and apprehended him a few hours later at a Delaware Street residence. Two unopened packs of cigarettes were returned to the store. The Westville resident was charged with robbery by threatening, theft by unlawful taking, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The male, a Westville resident, awaits a court date and was transported to Salem County Jail.

On 7/31, a Delaware Street resident was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol after she was observed attempting to conceal a 25-oz can of Busch Ice. Officers emptied and properly disposed of the beer. The court date is pending.
