On 11/12, officers responded to a report of criminal mischief at the McDonald’s in Woodbury Heights. Employees informed them that a male had been inside the restroom for an extended period. When they knocked on the door, he exited and left the restaurant. The male had urinated on the walls and destroyed all the toilet paper. Fortunately, nothing was permanently damaged and can be cleaned. If the male is identified, he will be charged accordingly.

On 11/12, officers were dispatched to Acme in response to a shoplifting incident. Officers located a male matching the description in the area of Mantua Avenue and Bellevue Avenue. The individual was carrying a bag of merchandise from Acme, which was returned to the store. The male, a Camden resident, was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest and was also in possession of paraphernalia related to controlled dangerous substances (CDS). Before being transferred to Camden Metro, he was issued summonses for possession of CDS paraphernalia only, as Acme chose not to pursue shoplifting charges. The court date is pending.

On 11/12, a Deptford resident was issued a summons for following too closely (tailgating) and making unsafe lane changes after causing an accident due to road rage. The court date is pending.

On 11/13, a resident of Woodbury came to police headquarters to turn herself in for two warrants. The warrants were confirmed, and both jurisdictions granted her release on recognizance (ROR). She was given new court dates and subsequently released.

On 11/8, a North Broad Street resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from the rear of his property. The vehicle has been entered into the NCIC as stolen, and the incident remains under investigation.

On 11/8, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver was a fugitive wanted in the state of Delaware. Additionally, the driver was operating the vehicle without a valid driver’s license. He was arrested and taken to Salem County Jail.

On 11/8, a resident of Mehorter Blvd. reported her wedding rings were stolen from her porch steps. She had placed the rings inside a glass container for safekeeping while she did yard work. After leaving her home briefly, she returned to find the rings missing. The victim mentioned that an unknown man came to the house during her absence and asked her husband if the vehicle in their driveway was for sale. She suspects that this individual may have stolen her rings. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/9, officers responded to a dispute between an Amazon driver and a resident on Morris Street. The Amazon driver explained that she had delivered a package to the wrong address. Before she could return to her vehicle to deliver the package to the correct address, the customer approached her, demanding the package. The driver informed the customer that she needed to take a photo of the delivery at the correct address before she could hand over the package. The customer then began cursing and screaming, trying to intimidate the driver, which prompted the driver to call the police. When police arrived, the resident expressed her frustration about having to get out of bed to retrieve the package. Officers advised the driver to report the incident to her supervisor and provided guidance on how to file a complaint with the Deptford Joint Municipal Court.

On 11/9, while on foot patrol in the area of East Red Bank Avenue, officers responded to previous reports of homeless individuals living in tents. They located two individuals in the wooded area. The officers informed them that camping was not permitted in that location, and the individuals agreed to gather their belongings and leave. One of the individuals was found to have an active warrant from Bellmawr. Bellmawr authorized a release on recognizance (ROR), and the individual was released with a new court date.

On 11/10, a Woodbury resident was issued traffic summonses for careless driving, improper passing, and delaying traffic after causing an accident on N. Evergreen Ave. The court date is pending.

On 11/5, officers observed a man stumbling along the sidewalk while drinking a Busch beer, which prompted a pedestrian stop. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) evaluated the man and recommended that he be taken home. Officers transported him to his apartment on Cooper Street and issued summonses for possession of an open container of alcohol and breach of peace, as he had elicited an emergency response on school property in the presence of children. The alcohol can was emptied and disposed of in the proper trash receptacle. A court date is pending.

On 11/5, a property owner on Maple Avenue was issued a summons for an illegal sewage tie-in after failing to resolve the issue. A court date is pending.

On 11/6, a resident of Camden was issued several summonses following a traffic stop. The charges included driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration, failing to provide valid insurance, operating an uninsured vehicle, maintaining functioning lamps, and not having the vehicle inspected. The vehicle was towed, and a court date is pending.

On 11/6, a Gloucester City resident was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia. The court date is pending.

On 11/7, officers were dispatched to a W. Centre Street residence for a theft report. Upon arrival, the caller stated that his chicken coop had been stolen from an unsecured garage. The victim did not have any suspects in mind. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 11/7, while conducting a property check of Lot 323, officers discovered a male known to them inside the park consuming vodka. The individual had an outstanding warrant from the Brooklawn Police Department for his arrest. He was released on his own recognizance (ROR) and issued summonses for public consumption of alcohol and possession of an open container of alcohol. The alcohol was disposed of, and he was released with a new court date.

On 11/7, a Penn Street property owner was issued a summons for high grass/weeds after failing to resolve the issue. Court date pending.

On 11/1, while patrolling near Towne Liquors, officers observed a male individual drinking a 20-ounce Bud Ice. After identifying him as a resident of Salme, the officers discovered that he had an active arrest warrant from Atlantic County. He was granted a release on his own recognizance (ROR) and issued summonses for possession of an open container and public consumption of alcohol. A court date is pending.

On 11/2, officers were dispatched to Acme regarding a shoplifting incident. Store employees reported that a male and a female entered the store and filled a shopping cart with merchandise valued at $286.40. As the suspects made their way to their vehicle, staff followed them, requesting the return of the stolen items. The suspects then got into their vehicle and drove away, leaving the cart of merchandise behind. Detectives later identified both suspects: a woman who resides in Mount Laurel and a man who lives in Pill Hill. Both individuals have been charged with shoplifting, and court dates are currently pending.

On 11/4, Mantua Police informed officers about a burglary that occurred in their area. They discovered more stolen items inside a suspect’s storage unit located on Woodbury Glassboro Road in Woodbury Heights. The suspect, a resident of Wenonah, has been charged with receiving stolen property. A court date is pending.

On 11/4, a Camden resident received several traffic summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to provide proof of insurance, displaying fictitious tags, and violating an ordinance related to fictitious tags. The driver was informed that she could not operate the vehicle until it was properly registered and insured. A court date is pending.

On 10/29, a resident of Woodbury was charged with assaulting a police officer, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and hindering apprehension after officers attempted a motor vehicle stop. The individual drove away when officers reached her window. She eventually pulled into a driveway on Delaware Street, where she was arrested. In addition, she received traffic summonses for driving with a suspended license and failing to present her registration, insurance, and driver’s license. She has been taken to Salem County Jail, and her court date is pending.

On 10/28, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Aldi. An employee of the store was following the female suspect. Officers made contact with the suspect and placed her under arrest. The suspect, a resident of Westville, was charged with shoplifting and later released with a court date. The stolen items were returned to Aldi.

On 10/28, officers responded to a report of a shoplifting at Dollar General. Employees informed the police that three women entered the store, filled a shopping cart with merchandise, and walked out without paying. The employees provided a description of the women, their vehicle, and the vehicle’s license plate. The incident is still under investigation, and the women will be charged accordingly once they are identified.

On 10/29, officers observed a vehicle driving in the wrong direction on Allens Lane, which is a one-way street. The driver was identified as a fugitive from justice and was charged accordingly then taken to the Salem County Jail. Additionally, the driver received a traffic summons for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

On 10/29, while sitting in traffic at the intersection of South Broad Street and Courtland Avenue, a vehicle passed by officers and approximately 20 other motorists while utilizing the center lane. This center lane is not a passing lane; it is designated as a two-way left turn lane. The driver, a resident of Woodbury, was found to have an outstanding warrant for her arrest. She was able to post $100 toward her bond, and Elk Township granted her a release on recognizance (ROR). Additionally, a traffic summons was issued for the improper use of the center lane before she was sent on her way.

On 10/30, while patrolling the area near Town Liquors, officers observed two men entering Lot 323 through the bushes after dark. The officers informed the men that the park was closed. In response, the men ran into the park to evade the police. Officers made contact with one of the men, who was found to be intoxicated. Summonses were issued, and he was given a courtesy ride back to his home in Wenonah. A court date is pending, and the identity of the second male remains unknown.

On 10/30, while patrolling the area of East Red Bank Avenue and Green Street, officers noticed a male subject with an active arrest warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Collingswood Police Department.

On 10/26, a Myrtle Avenue resident was issued summonses for breach of peace and disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance inside the McDonald’s on N. Broad Street. The court date is pending.

On 10/26, a resident on South Maple Avenue reported that her package from Grove was stolen. She stated that she received a notification indicating her package had been delivered, accompanied by a blank black photo. When she went outside to check, the package was not there. She contacted the delivery company, Veho, which sent her two photos to verify that the delivery person had been at her home. However, officers determined that the photos were likely sourced from Google Maps, and one of them was a blurry image of the fence. The package was not visible in either photo. The victim does not wish to file a formal complaint but wants to document the situation if Veho or Grove does not reimburse her. Officers attempted to contact a representative from Veho, but they have yet to respond.

On 10/27, during a pedestrian stop, it was discovered that the subject had a warrant for his arrest from the Franklin Joint Municipal Court. Two traffic citations were issued before he was turned over to the Franklin Township police. A court date is pending.

On 10/27, a resident of Woodbury Heights reported to the police that a vehicle had collided with their neighbor’s car, which was parked on Glassboro Road, and then fled the scene. A Gloucester County Sheriff’s Officer subsequently located the vehicle and driver on Elm Avenue. Both vehicles needed to be towed. The driver, a resident of Pennsauken, was issued several summonses for careless driving, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, failure to keep right, driving on the sidewalk, and operating an unsafe vehicle. A court date is pending.

On 10/28, officers were dispatched to Meineke Muffler in response to a dispute. The caller reported that a customer became irate when she was informed that the cost of an oil change had increased by $7.00. Due to her anger, the employee asked her to leave and refused service. She threatened the employee, saying, “I’m going to come back, and you messed with the wrong person.” When the employee advised the customer that he was going to call the police, she left the premises. Officers advised the employee to call the police if she returned.

On 10/28, a resident of Morris Street reported that his bicycle had been stolen approximately two weeks earlier. He provided the police with a description of the bike and the name of a suspect. Although the victim does not have concrete proof, he suspects that the bike was sold to purchase alcohol. The victim was advised to contact the police if he finds any evidence of the suspect stealing his bike.
