9-5-2024 TO 9-8-2024

On 9/5, a Trenton resident was charged with driving while their license was suspended, being an unlicensed driver, and failing to exhibit their driver’s license. The court date is pending.

On 9/5, a resident of Cooper Street was observed on the sidewalk drinking alcohol. The alcohol was properly disposed of and he was given a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol and consuming alcohol in public. The court date is pending.

On 9/6, a Medford resident was charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, failure to give CDS to police, and traffic summonses for failure to signal, delaying traffic, and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle as a result of a motor vehicle stop. The court date is pending.

On 9/7, officers responded to Wawa in Woodbury Heights for a shoplifting report. Employees advised that a male entered the store and stole several drinks and a pack of M&Ms. The employee advised officers to return later to speak with his manager, who could provide more details.

On 9/8, officers were called to a residence on Hunter Street due to a noise complaint. The homeowner said she would lower the music. Officers had to return to the location multiple times and issued summonses for loud noise. A court date is pending.

On 9/8, while on patrol in the area of Glassboro Road and Elm Avenue, officers observed a man consuming alcohol and throwing the can onto the ground. The subject was once again informed that he could not consume alcohol in public and was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol, consuming alcohol in public, and littering. A court date is pending.

8-27-2024 TO 8-31-2024

On 8/27, a summons for high weeds/grass was issued to a Glover Street property owner. Court date pending.

On 8/27, a N. Broad Street property owner was issued summons for failing to repair multiple exterior building issues. Court date pending.

On 8/28, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Wawa in Woodbury Heights. Employees reported that a man entered the store, filled a bag with energy drinks, and left without paying. The employees were able to provide a vehicle registration number and description of the man and the driver of the vehicle he fled in. On August 28th, detectives identified the male and charged him with shoplifting. The driver was also charged with shoplifting accomplice liability. Court dates are pending.

On 8/28, officers responded to Aldi for a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a female walked out with two bags full of laundry detergent. They stated that if the items were returned, they would not file complaints. Officers located the suspect, and she apologized for stealing. The items were returned to Aldi, and the woman was advised that she was no longer welcome inside the store. She was warned that if she returned, she would be charged with trespassing.

On 8/29, while patrolling the area of S. Broad Street, officers located a female who was known to have several active warrants for her arrest. She was processed at the police department and transported to the Salem County Jail. Her court date is pending.

On 8/29, a N. Evergreen Avenue resident was charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child as the result of a domestic incident that occurred at the residence. Court date pending.

On 8/29, a Delaware Street resident was charged with simple assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 8/30, while conducting a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was processed at the police department and transported to the Salem County Jail with a court date pending.

On 8/30, officers responded to a resident on Chestnut Avenue regarding a barking dog. The caller reported that the dog had been barking non-stop for several hours. Attempts to contact the dog’s owner were unsuccessful. A summons was issued to the owner, and a court date is pending.

On 8/31, a resident of Morris Street was charged with criminal mischief, breach of peace, and several housing code violations after causing damage to the property during an altercation. Court date pending.

On 8/31, officers responded to a residence on N. Evergreen Avenue regarding a domestic incident. The caller was informed about her domestic violence rights and advised that she could apply for a TRO, which she refused.

8-22-2024 TO 8-26-2024

On 8/22, officers responded to PG Tool’s for a criminal mischief complaint. Employees reported that one of their work vans was broken into overnight. The passenger-side window was shattered, and the van rummaged through. Currently, there are no suspects.

On 8/22, a resident of Camden was charged with simple assault following a domestic incident inside a Woodlake Apartment. Court date pending.

On 8/23, during a traffic stop, it was learned the driver had a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality granted an ROR with a new court date. The driver was given a ticket for driving with a suspended license and was explicitly instructed not to drive the vehicle. A court date is pending.

On 8/24, a Woodbury resident was issued summonses for unregistered vehicle, fictitious plates, and no insurance. The court date is pending.

On 8/25, an Aberdeen Place resident was charged with Simple Assault after an altercation occurred outside the residence. Court date pending.

On 8/26, a Blackwood resident was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol in public after officers observed the male holding the can. The alcohol was dumped, and the can was placed in a nearby trash can. Court date pending.

8-19-2024 TO 8-21-2024

On 8/19, officers observed two men drinking alcohol in Lot 323. Both men were advised once again that they could not consume alcohol in public spaces. Both parties were issued summonses for consuming alcohol in public and possession of an open container. Court dates are pending.

On 8/19, a resident of Lake Avenue was issued a summons for his dog running at large after his dog ran out of the house and attacked another dog being walked by its owner. The court date is pending.

On 8/20, a resident of Westville was issued summonses for lewdness, indecent behavior, improper behavior, and breach of peace after causing a disturbance on the lawn in front of Inspira. Court date is pending.

On 8/20, a High Street resident reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. The suspect took money, debit and credit cards, and her driver’s license. There are no suspects currently. When the suspect is identified he or she will be charged accordingly.\

On 8/21, a Thorofare resident was charged with shoplifting after being identified as the male who stole $143.86 worth of Red Bull drinks from Wawa in Woodbury Heights. Court date pending.

8-15-2024 TO 8-18-2024

On 8/15, a High Street resident was issued traffic summonses for maintenance of lamps, unregistered vehicle, unlicensed driver, and fictitious plates. The plates were removed from the vehicle. Court date pending.

On 8/15, a Woodbury resident was charged with trespassing after returning to Aldi when he was made aware not to come back. The court date is pending.

On 8/15, officers responded to the J&D Liquor store for a report of shoplifting. Employees reported that an unknown male entered the store and asked if they carried a specific brand of alcohol. After the item was retrieved and scanned, the male took the bottle and ran out of the store. The incident is currently under investigation, and if the suspect is identified, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 8/16, during a traffic stop, the driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The male was placed under arrest and taken to the police station for processing. Afterward, the Sheriff’s Department transported him to the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 8/16, a Woodbury resident came to the police station to report an assault that took place the previous night. The victim stated that his friend had assaulted him over money owed. The officers explained the procedure for filing complaints with the Deptford court if he decides to do so.

On 8/17, Acme employees reported a shoplifting incident involving two females who stole over $4,149.64 worth of over-the-counter medication, cosmetics, and haircare products. On 8/20, detectives identified one of the women and charged her with 3rd-degree shoplifting and receiving stolen property. The other woman will be charged once she is identified. The court date is pending.

On 8/17, a Deptford resident was issued traffic summonses for careless driving and failure to provide insurance documents after causing an accident on Delaware Street.

On 8/17, a temporary restraining order was issued to a Second Street resident following an altercation inside the home. Court date is pending.

On 8/18, officers were dispatched to a High Street residence for a roommate disagreement. Both parties were advised how to sign complaints at the Deptford Joint Municipal Court.

On 8/18, a Paulsboro resident was charged with Simple Assault after a domestic incident occurred inside the victim’s vehicle. Court date pending.

8-8-2024 TO 8-10-2024

On 8/8, a Philadelphia, PA, resident was issued a summons for trespassing at the Woodbury Youth Football Field. The court date is pending.

On 8/9, officers responded to Dollar General for a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male had entered the store, taken Tide Detergent, valued at $21.00, from the shelf, and left without paying. Officers found the suspect in the area of Evergreen and Gantt Ave. The male was arrested and charged with shoplifting and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also informed that he was no longer welcome at the store and would be charged with trespassing if he returned. The court date is pending.

On 8/10, officers responded to a residence on Delaware Street for a report of an unwanted person. The officers made contact with a male who had previously been trespassed from the property. The individual was arrested and charged with trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. A court date is pending.

On 8/10, the Audubon Police Department transferred a male subject with an outstanding warrant from Woodbury. The male, a Woodbury resident, was processed before being turned over to the Sheriff’s Department for transport to the Salem County Jail. His court date is pending.
