On 7/30, a Philadelphia resident received a summons for being in the park after dark after repeated warnings about the park’s closing time. The court date is pending.

On 7/30, officers were dispatched to the Conoco Gas Station on Woodbury Glassboro Road for a report of a stolen U-Haul box truck. Several days later Camden Police located the truck unoccupied in their jurisdiction. The truck was secured for processing. This incident is currently under investigation. Once the person responsible is identified, they will be charged accordingly.

On 7/30, officers responded to a report of shoplifting at Woodbury Tobacco. An employee explained that a male entered the store, walked behind the counter, and took six packs of Newport cigarettes, costing $73.77. Officers identified the suspect and apprehended him a few hours later at a Delaware Street residence. Two unopened packs of cigarettes were returned to the store. The Westville resident was charged with robbery by threatening, theft by unlawful taking, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. The male, a Westville resident, awaits a court date and was transported to Salem County Jail.

On 7/31, a Delaware Street resident was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol after she was observed attempting to conceal a 25-oz can of Busch Ice. Officers emptied and properly disposed of the beer. The court date is pending.

On 7/22, officers responded to CVS for a report of shoplifting. Employees stated that a male subject had walked out without paying for a soda. The male was located and admitted to taking the soda because he was thirsty and had finished it, so he could not return it. CVS declined to file charges, and the subject was released. He was advised that he was no longer welcome in CVS. No further police assistance was required.

On 7/22, a Deptford resident was arrested and charged with possession of CDS, failure to deliver CDS, and possession of drug paraphernalia as a result of a traffic stop on N. Evergreen Avenue. Court date pending.

On 7/22, a Blackwood resident was issued summonses for Breach of Peace, possession of an open container of alcohol, and public consumption of alcohol after she was observed walking toward Lot 323 and drinking a beer. When advised that she was not allowed to drink alcohol while walking the streets, she became irate and began yelling and cursing, causing a disturbance. The court date is pending.

On 7/23, the Camden County Police Department arrested a Woodbury Heights resident with an active warrant and turned him over to the Woodbury Police Department. All necessary paperwork was completed before being transported to Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/23, officers were dispatched to the Acme parking lot for a report of a counterfeit $100 bill. The caller explained that he towed a vehicle to a charging port and received the fake bill from the customer as payment. When he realized the bill was counterfeit, the customer apologized and settled the payment using a credit card. The customer appeared genuinely surprised and claimed to have received the fake bill as a tip earlier in the day. The counterfeit bill was handed over to the police, and all individuals involved went their separate ways.

On 7/24, officers responded to a complaint at a residence on West Street regarding an abandoned vehicle. The property owner has been attempting to get his tenants to address the issue of an unregistered vehicle with a flat tire. A warning letter has been sent to the tenants, and officers will follow up in 10 days.

On 7/24, officers responded to Towne Liquors after receiving a report of two women physically fighting on the sidewalk. Both women were uncooperative and continued to fight in the presence of the police. As a result, both women were placed under arrest and charged with Simple Assault, Obstruction of Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest, Breach of Peace, and Disorderly Conduct. Additionally, one of the women was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon after using a box cutter to cut the other person’s leg during the fight. Court dates for the charges are pending.

On 7/24, a resident of Delaware Street was arrested and charged with simple assault, possession of cocaine, and failure to deliver CDS to police as a result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. The individual was turned over to the Sheriff’s Department and transported to Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/25, during a traffic stop, it was learned that the driver had warrants for his arrest. All issuing jurisdictions granted ROR (Release on Own Recognizance). Before being released, he was issued summonses for unclear plates and tint. The court date is pending.

On 7/25, during a motor vehicle stop, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest out of Cherry Hill. Before being handed over to the Cherry Hill Police Department, summonses were issued for possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to provide insurance, and failure to provide registration. A court date is pending.

On 7/26, officers were called to the Child Development Center regarding an unwanted person. Staff members reported that an unidentified male was sleeping on the slide, preventing the children from being able to go outside and play. The officers woke the individual and informed him that he had to leave. They also warned him that if he returned, trespassing charges would be filed.

On 7/26, officers patrolling Lot 323 observed a male sitting at a picnic table and drinking alcohol. They informed the male that he was not allowed to consume alcohol in public areas. The vodka was disposed of, and the male was issued summonses for consuming alcohol in public and for possessing an open container of alcohol. A court date is pending.

On 7/26, officers responded to a shoplifting incident at CVS. Upon arrival, the officers located the suspect in the Lukoil parking lot. The woman, a resident of Egg Harbor City, admitted to stealing from CVS. She was placed under arrest and found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) and CDS paraphernalia. The stolen items, totaling $451.00, were returned to CVS. Before being released, the woman was given summonses for shoplifting, possession of CDS, possession of CDS paraphernalia, failure to deliver CDS to police, and receiving stolen property. Court date is pending.

On 7/27, while patrolling the Glassboro Road and Evergreen Avenue area, officers observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. During the motor vehicle stop, officers noticed that the plates attached to the vehicle were fictitious. The vehicle was towed, and the driver was issued summonses for speeding, fictitious plates, unregistered vehicle, no liability insurance, creating a risk of an accident, and fraudulent registration and temporary license plates. A court date is pending.

On 7/27, officers responded to a business on S. Broad Street for a broken window. The owner was contacted and informed of the incident. The owner advised he would send someone to board up the window so no one would get hurt by the broken glass. The estimated cost to replace the window is $1500. Currently, no suspects have been identified.

On 7/28, officers were dispatched to CVS for a shoplifting incident. The suspect was located and arrested. The stolen merchandise, totaling $100.00, was returned to CVS. Summonses for shoplifting and littering were issued to the female suspect, an Atco resident, who was also banned from CVS. She was informed that she would be charged with trespassing if she returned. A court date is pending.

On 7/28, officers patrolling the Glassboro Rd and Asam Ave. area spotted a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker from 2021. Upon pulling the vehicle over, they discovered that the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. The issuing municipality released the driver on their own recognizance with a new court date. Additionally, it was found that the driver’s license was suspended, and the vehicle’s registration had expired. The driver was given summonses for driving without a license, driving with a suspended license, failing to inspect, and having an unregistered vehicle. The court date is pending.

On 7/15, a resident of Deptford was issued summonses for obstructing the public sidewalk and breach of peace after being advised that he could not sleep on the sidewalk. Offers of assistance in finding him a place to sleep were declined. The individual became irate and started yelling profanities at the officers, prompting members of the public to exit their building to see what the commotion was about. Court dates are pending.

On 7/15, officers responded to Wawa in Woodbury Heights for a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male entered the store, took several items from the shelves, and ran out of the store without paying. They provided officers with the vehicle registration number from the vehicle he fled the area in. Several days later, detectives were able to positively identify the male as a Woodbury resident and he was charged accordingly. A court date is pending.

On 7/15, a Camden resident was arrested and charged with violating a final restraining order. The woman was then turned over to Salem County Jail with a court date pending.

On 7/16, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop because the vehicle did not have a front license plate. The driver was found to have a warrant for her arrest, and she did not have a driver’s license. The issuing municipality granted an ROR, and she was released with the following summonses: driving without a license, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving after her license was suspended, and having unclear plates. The woman, a West Deptford resident, was advised not to drive the vehicle. A court date is pending.

On 7/16, several E. Barber Avenue residents were issued municipal ordinance violations for High weeds/grass after failing to resolve the issue. Court dates are pending.

On 7/17, while patrolling the area of the YMCA, officers observed a man near the baseball field drinking a beer. The beer was disposed of and a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol was issued. The court date is pending.
On 7/18, officers were dispatched to Wawa in Woodbury Heights for a motor vehicle theft. The victim explained that he had left the keys inside his vehicle and went inside Wawa. When he and his girlfriend returned, his vehicle was gone. The vehicle was reported as stolen in NCIC. Several hours later, Camden police advised that they had found the vehicle and a male juvenile who was driving it. After investigating the incident, it was found that the juvenile driver was the same person who stole the vehicle from the Wawa in Woodbury Heights. Charges for theft of motor vehicle and receiving stolen property were filed and sent to his mother’s address in Camden. A court date is pending.

On 7/18, a resident of Wick Blvd. reported that someone had rummaged through her husband’s vehicle overnight. Nothing appeared to be taken. The incident remains under investigation.

On 7/18, a property owner on S. Broad Street received a municipal ordinance violation summons for high weeds/grass and trash/debris after failing to rectify the situation. A court date is pending.

On 7/18, a Williamstown resident was charged with criminal mischief after punching his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle window, causing it to shatter. Court dates are pending.

On 7/19, Towne Liquors reported a shoplifting. A female entered the store and walked out without paying for a bottle of Tequila. The incident remains under investigation; once the female is identified, she will be charged accordingly.

On 7/19, a resident of S. Jackson Street reported to the police that her home had been burglarized while she was on vacation. Numerous necklaces, watches, and other pieces of jewelry were stolen. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 7/20, while conducting a pedestrian stop, it was discovered that the subject had a 2015 warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality granted an ROR, and he was released with a new court date.

On 7/20, during a motor vehicle stop, the driver was found to have an active traffic warrant. The issuing municipality granted an ROR, and she was released with a new court date.

On 7/21, officers were called to Colonial Park Apartments for a complaint of criminal mischief. The victim reported that her vehicle had been scratched while she was at work there. She doesn’t have any suspects at this time, and this incident is still under investigation.

On 7/8, officers were informed about a male drinking alcohol in the vicinity of S. Broad Street. Officers approached the individual, who admitted to consuming alcohol and trying to conceal it inside a black plastic bag. It was discovered that the individual had several warrants for his arrest. All jurisdictions provided an ROR. Prior to being released with his new court dates, a summons for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol was issued.

On 7/8, during a well-being check at a residence on N. Broad Street, it was discovered that the individual had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. Following clearance for incarceration, she was held in the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/8, officers were called to a residence on Nelson Avenue for a dispute. When they arrived, the caller said police assistance was no longer needed. While they were still there, the homeowner came out of the residence and started yelling and cursing at the caller as she left. The officers issued the homeowner summonses for Disorderly Conduct and Breach of Peace. A court date is pending.

On 7/9, an Amazon driver reported that while he was sitting in his vehicle after making a delivery to a residence on High Street, a vehicle approached the driver’s side and began shooting him with a gel-blaster type weapon. Officers observed welts on the victim’s arms. After an investigation, a resident of Crescent Avenue was identified as the driver and gel-blast shooter. The male was located, placed under arrest, and lodged in Salem County Jail. The accused was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon with an unlawful purpose, and possession of a weapon. Additionally, several traffic summonses were issued. A court date is pending.

On 7/9, officers responded to Aldi for an assault and shoplifting. Employees reported that while attempting to stop a female shoplifter by standing in front of her, the suspect pushed her, causing her to stumble backward and hit the door. The incident is currently under investigation. Once the female is identified, she will be charged accordingly.

On 7/10, officers were dispatched to CVS for a shoplifting report. Employees reported that two females had shoplifted approximately $200 worth of cosmetics. Both women, who are residents of Hannold Ave., in Deptford, were charged with shoplifting. Court dates are pending.

On 7/10, while patrolling N. Evergreen Ave., officers noticed a man who is banned from Wawa loitering near the trashcans. The officers issued a summons for trespassing and reminded him that he was not allowed on Wawa property before sending him on his way. Court date is pending.

On 7/10, a Camden resident was charged with Obstruction after providing a false name to officers while investigating. Court date pending.

On 7/11, a resident of Camden was charged with simple assault and contempt of court as the result of a DV incident at a W. Barber Avenue residence. The subject was lodged in the Salem County Jail, and a court date is pending.

On 7/11, officers were dispatched to the area of 500 N. Broad Street for a dispute. The caller advised that she wanted her friend to get out of her vehicle due to a verbal argument. Both parties stated it was a verbal argument only and agreed to go their separate ways. No further police presence was required.

On 7/12, officers were dispatched to 132 E. Red Bank Avenue to check on the well-being of a man who was unconscious on the ground. The officers made contact with the man, who was sitting near the dumpster and appeared to be either sleeping or nodding off. They discovered that the man had several active warrants, including a no-bail warrant for his arrest. Upon searching the man incident to arrest, he was found to be in possession of heroin. The man was charged with possession of heroin, trespassing, and littering before being handed over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for transportation to the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/12, officers were dispatched to K9 Kingdom on Glassboro Rd., for a report of a deceased dog. This incident is currently under investigation.

On 7/12, a resident of Aberdeen Place reported that his handgun was stolen from his vehicle’s secured glovebox overnight. The handgun was reported as stolen in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). On 7/18, the Stratford police informed that they found the stolen gun inside a stolen vehicle, which had been crashed by several juveniles who were subsequently arrested. The handgun has been removed from NCIC and will be held by the Stratford PD until further notice.

On 7/13, officers were dispatched to a residence on Myrtle Avenue for a criminal mischief complaint. The victim reported that while inside her residence, she heard a loud crash or bang in front of her residence. When she went outside, her neighbor informed her that several juveniles were seen running away toward Bell Lake. The neighbor had previously had words with the juveniles earlier in the day and suspects that they mistakenly thought he lived at this location. The resident estimates it would cost approximately $150 to replace the window. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 7/14, while in the area of West Center Street, officers observed a group of people lying down next to each other in Lot 323. When they checked on their well-being, they found that one of the individuals had a warrant for their arrest. The male was handed over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department and transported to Salem Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/14, a resident of Glassboro Rd. reported her vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. While on the scene, officers checked the registration of another vehicle parked in front of the victim’s home. It was discovered that this vehicle had been reported stolen from Haddonfield. Haddonfield police were notified that the vehicle had been located and transported to a secure facility until they could retrieve it for processing. The Glassboro resident’s vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen. This incident remains under investigation.

On 7/1, a Woodbury resident was pulled over at the intersection of Hunter Street and N. Woodland Ave. for failing to stop at a stop sign. It was discovered that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Lindenwold. The driver was given multiple traffic summons and handed over to the Lindenwold Police. A court date is pending.

On 7/1, a Salem Avenue property owner was issued summonses for failing to register a rental with the city and obtain a certificate of occupancy. The court date is pending.

On 7/1, a resident of Woodbury contacted the police to report feeling harassed by his ex-girlfriend. While he was at work, his ex-girlfriend drove to the rear of his workplace, honked her horn, and yelled out of the window. Officers explained the process for filing complaints with the Deptford court and obtaining a copy of the report. No further police action was deemed necessary.

On 7/2, a warning letter was mailed to the registered owner of a vehicle parked on Morris Street with an expired registration and two flat tires. Officers will follow up in 10 days to check if the vehicle has been moved, repaired, and registered. If the letter is ignored, the vehicle will be towed.

On 7/2, property owners on S. Broad Street, Hessian Avenue, Progress Avenue, and Myrtle Avenue were issued summonses for failing to resolve high weeds/grass, make repairs, pest management, failure to register a rental, and failure to obtain a certificate of occupancy. Court dates are pending.

On 7/3, officers responded to Wawa in Woodbury Heights for a shoplifting incident. The store manager reported that a woman had entered the store, taken several items from the shelf, and left without paying. The manager was able to provide a description of the suspect and the vehicle registration. A resident of Brooklawn was identified. Officers spoke to the suspect and advised her that to avoid shoplifting charges, she must go to Wawa and pay for the items she stole. However, the woman did not pay for the items and was subsequently charged. A court date is pending.

On 7/4, a N. Broad Street resident was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace after causing a disturbance at a motor vehicle crash scene. Court date pending.

On 7/4, a resident of Delaware Street was arrested and charged with simple assault following a domestic violence incident outside their home. The individual was handed over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department for transportation to Salem Jail. A court date is pending.

On 7/5, while on foot patrol in the area of Lot 323, officers observed a male sitting at a bench, after hours, drinking alcohol. The alcohol was properly disposed of, and the male was issued municipal ordinance citations for having an open container and being in the park after dark. His court date is pending.

On 7/5, officers were called to Wawa on N. Evergreen Avenue because there was a man on the premises who had been asking customers for money and hanging around in front of the store for several hours. When the officers arrived, they recognized the man as someone who had been banned from the property before. The officers issued summonses for trespassing and breach of peace before reminding the man once again that he was not allowed to return to the Wawa. The man was then released, and a court date is pending.

On 7/6, officers were dispatched to White House Apartments for a theft report. The caller reported that her boyfriend took her keys or threw them before leaving the area. Officers were unable to locate the boyfriend and assisted in searching for the keys, but with no success. Before officers could explain the process of obtaining a restraining order and filing her own complaint with the court, the caller became uncooperative and left the area.

On 7/6, a pedestrian stop revealed that the individual had multiple outstanding warrants for their arrest in Gloucester County and Camden County. The High Street resident was given summonses for riding a bicycle without lamps, not having an audible signal on the bicycle, not following the same laws as motor vehicles, and creating a risk of an accident before being lodged in the Camden Jail. Court dates are pending.

On 7/7, officers responded to the YMCA for a report of a stolen scooter. At this time, two juvenile males are considered suspects. Detectives successfully identified both juveniles, one from Woodbury and the other from Cherry Hill, and charged both with theft. Court dates for the charges are pending.

On 7/7, summonses were issued to two individuals for being in a park after dark. They were found sleeping behind the concession stand at the David A. Laverty Sports Complex. Court dates are pending.

On 6/24, a N. Evergreen Avenue resident reported that both license plates were stolen from his vehicle between 6/20 and 6/21 while parked in his driveway. No suspects at this time. The plates were entered NCIC stolen.

On 6/24, a Deptford resident was charged with contempt of court for violating a restraining order by contacting the victim against the court’s order. A court date is pending.

On 6/24, officers responded to a parking complaint on Stuart Street. A box truck has been parked on the street since May, violating municipal code 190-10 which states, “Trucks with a gross weight being determined by the combined weight of the vehicle and load in excess of five tons (10,000 pounds) are hereby excluded from all local streets or parts of local streets except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such local streets”. Due to requests to move the truck being ignored, summonses were issued to the owner of the company that is renting the vehicle, Penske Corporation, and the CEO of Penske Corporation. Court dates are pending.

On 6/25, officers were sent to 603 N. Broad Street regarding a criminal mischief complaint involving several vehicles. The victim reported that a shirtless male had been throwing bricks over the fence, hitting several cars parked in the lot. While at the scene, officers witnessed someone throwing another brick over the fence, striking an additional vehicle. The officers then went to the suspect’s home, arrested him, and charged him with criminal mischief. A court date is pending.

On 6/25, a property owner on S. Broad Street reported that unknown individuals entered his property, which is currently being renovated, and stole a paint sprayer that belonged to the painter. No other damage was found at the property. This incident is currently under investigation.

On 6/26, the Woodbury Police assisted Deptford Police in apprehending a bank robbery suspect who had robbed the Fulton Bank and then fled into Town Market. Upon seeing the police, the suspect ran out the back door, where K9 Recon was waiting. The suspect, a resident of Westville, was immediately apprehended, arrested, and turned over to the Deptford Police without incident.

On 6/26, officers were dispatched to an E. Barber Avenue residence for a theft report. The victim advised that a family member forged two personal checks totaling $200.00. The victim was explained how to sign complaints with the Deptford Joint Municipal Court.

On 6/26, a resident of Vineland was arrested and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon after causing a disturbance within a Bell Lake Apartment. A court date is pending.

On 6/27, a resident of Cooper Street was seen walking and drinking an alcoholic beverage in the vicinity of N. Broad Street and Hunter Street. The Bud Ice was properly disposed of. The male was given a summons for possessing an open container of alcohol and then released. A court date is pending.

On 6/27, officers were dispatched to Lot 323 for a report of criminal mischief. A Lot 323 volunteer reported that someone cut the string lights used in the stage area and flipped over a wooden picnic table, breaking one of its legs. The cost to replace these items was estimated to be between $200 and $300. Although the volunteer suspects juveniles, there are no specific suspects at this time.

On 6/28, during a motor vehicle stop for a suspended registration, it was found that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality granted him an ROR with a new court date. Before leaving, the driver was issued a summons for driving with a suspended registration.

On 6/29, a resident of Camden was charged with aggravated assault and theft following a domestic incident in the vicinity of Woodlake Apartments. A court date is pending.

On 6/29, a South Broad Street resident was charged with aggravated assault after assaulting a visitor inside the home. Court date pending.

On 6/17, a Deptford Avenue resident was charged with Simple Assault as a result of a DV incident that occurred outside the residence the evening before. Court date pending.

On 6/17, officers were dispatched to McDonald’s on N. Broad Street for a criminal mischief incident. Employees reported that a juvenile entered the store and damaged the order kiosk screen, causing it to crack. The cost to replace the kiosk is $8,500. Once the juvenile is identified, he will be charged accordingly. The incident remains under investigation.

On 6/17, a resident of Hopkins Street reported that his cell phone went missing after he left it to charge in Lot 323. No suspects have been identified at this time.

On 6/17, officers responded to a residence on Fourth Street for the second time due to a disturbance. When they arrived, they found a man who was intoxicated and behaving erratically, causing damage to the property. It was discovered that the man had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was issued summonses for possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of prescription drugs in an original container, and disorderly conduct before being taken to Inspira Hospital and then to Salem County jail. A court date is pending.

On 6/18, police were called to CVS in response to a report of shoplifting. Employees informed the officers that a man they recognized as having previously been banned from the store had entered the store, stole multiple items and left without paying. The suspect was found, and the stolen items were returned to the store. The male was issued a trespassing summons and sent on his way. Court date is pending.

On 6/18, during a motor vehicle stop due to suspended registration, the driver was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality gave an ROR. The court date is pending.

On 6/19, officers received a call about the theft of a wheelchair. The victim reported that he was taken to the hospital, but the EMTs didn’t bring his wheelchair. After investigating the incident, detectives were able to locate the person who took the wheelchair, and it was brought to the police department. The victim was informed and will be coming in soon to pick it up.

On 6/20, officers responded to a residence on East Barber Avenue for an attempted vehicle theft. The victims reported being woken up by the sound of breaking glass. When they turned on the outside lights, they heard a vehicle speed away. This incident is under investigation.

On 6/20, an East Barber Avenue residence was charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, and aggravated assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 6/21, a resident of Hopkins Street was seen in Lot 323 with an open container of alcohol. They were issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol, and the alcohol was disposed of. Court date is pending.

On 6/22, officers were dispatched to Walnut Avenue in response to a theft complaint. The caller reported that they suspected someone was stealing property from a business when no one was present. The caller provided photos, videos, and the vehicle registration number as evidence. After an investigation, on 6/26 two men were identified and charged with trespassing and two counts of theft. Their court dates are pending.

On 6/22, an Elm Avenue resident was arrested and charged with simple assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 6/23, a resident of Spring Street informed the police that she needed to report old license plates as stolen. These plates should have been turned into the DMV after the vehicle was transferred to her ex-husband. Attempts to speak with the husband were unsuccessful. The plates have been entered as stolen in NCIC.

On 6/10, the Camden County Sheriff’s Department turned over a Gloucester City resident with an outstanding arrest warrant. The male was eventually transported to the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 6/10, a property owner on N. Broad Street was issued a summons for failing to obtain a certificate of occupancy for the property. The court date is pending.

On 6/11, a Philadelphia resident was issued an abandoned vehicle warning letter for his disabled vehicle in a city parking lot. The vehicle was also stickered as abandoned. A follow-up will be conducted in 10 days.

On 6/11, officers were called to a business on Cooper Street due to a male trespassing. When they arrived, they saw a resident of Camden who had been banned from the property earlier that day standing in front of the doors. The male was arrested and found to be in possession of heroin, a controlled dangerous substance (CDS). At headquarters, the male was charged with criminal trespass and possession of CDS. His court date is pending.

On 6/12, a Deptford resident was charged with Contempt of Court for violating a TRO. Court date pending.

On 6/12, a property owner on Boundary Road was issued a summons for high weeds/grass over 10 inches, trash/debris, abandoned/junk vehicles on the property, and no certificate of occupancy. Court date pending.

On 6/13, police officers were sent to the U-Haul location at the Conoco gas station on Glassboro Rd. in response to a report of a rental van that had not been returned. Employees informed the officers that the van was initially due back on May 26th, but the customer extended the rental period until May 29th. However, the van was not returned, the customer ceased communication, and the credit card used for payment was canceled, it was time to report the vehicle stolen. Several hours later, officers were able to locate the vehicle in Woodstown. The U-Haul staff were informed of the vehicle’s location so that it could be retrieved. A summons for unlawful taking of a vehicle was issued, and a court date is pending.

On 6/13, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver’s license was suspended, and she had several outstanding warrants for her arrest. The woman posted bail and was issued new court dates. She was also issued summonses for driving while suspended, being an unlicensed driver, failure to provide a driver’s license, and for maintenance of lamps before being released. Court dates are pending.

On 6/14, employees at Dollar General on S. Evergreen Avenue reported a shoplifting incident. Officers were informed that a male took $150.00 worth of laundry detergent and fled the store without paying. The employees provided officers with the vehicle registration used to flee the area. A suspect has since been identified.

On 6/14, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. A man entered the store, filled a plastic bag with approximately $366.00 worth of merchandise, and left without paying. The incident remains under investigation.

On 6/15, a West Deptford resident reported that she had stopped at Wawa on N. Evergreen Avenue and gone inside. When she returned to her vehicle, she found that someone had poured coffee on her windshield. Officers identified the male responsible and charged him with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, and driving while suspended. The court date is pending.

On 6/15, a Myrtle Avenue resident surrendered himself on an outstanding warrant. The issuing municipality granted an ROR and set a new court date.

On 6/16, Runnemede Police Department turned over a Clementon resident with an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The male was granted and ROR and released with a new court date.

On 6/2, a Glassboro resident was issued a summons for Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. Court date pending.

On 6/4, during a pedestrian stop, the subject was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality provided an ROR with a new court date. Before being released, a summons for No Lamps and Reflectors on Bicycle was issued.

On 6/4, a Franklin Street property owner was issued a citation for overgrown grass and weeds. Court date pending.

On 6/5, the owner of AA Management Services reported a former employee stole a piece of equipment costing approximately $15,000. The former employee is seen on Acme video removing the equipment. This incident remains under investigation.

On 6/5, officers responded to Carpenter Street to a report of two abandoned vehicles. Both vehicle owners were issued warning letters to remove or repair and register the vehicles. A follow-up will be conducted in 10 days.

On 6/6, a resident of Watkins Avenue reported that they had been receiving EZ Pass toll violations in the mail for a vehicle that was not theirs. The resident explained that they had sold a vehicle between 2012 and 2014 and had removed the tags from the vehicle. They also stated they could not remember what they did with the tags after that. The tags were reported as stolen, and the resident was informed that a report would be filed. They were also advised on obtaining a copy of the report for their records.

On 6/6, a resident of Woodbury Heights reported that she was the victim of fraud. A few days earlier, she had received an email that appeared to be from her cable company, requesting her to update her billing information to avoid any interruptions in service. After entering her information, she realized that the email was sent to an unknown email address, not to the cable company. She contacted her cable company, who informed her that it was likely a scam email. The victim immediately canceled her card and did not experience any fraudulent activity. Officers advised her to contact all lines of credit and the Social Security Administration and remain vigilant for suspicious packages, calls, or emails. A report has been filed for record purposes. Currently, there are no suspects.

On 6/7, a Westville resident was observed consuming alcohol in front of Towne Liquors. The alcohol was confiscated and disposed of, and she was issued a summons for consumption of alcohol in public, possession of an open container, and breach of peace. Court date pending.

On June 8th, a resident of N. American Street was issued a summons for Dogs Running at Large after the dog was found running loose in the neighborhood. The dog was returned to the owner without incident, and a court date is pending.

On 6/8, during a routine traffic stop, the driver was found to have an active arrest warrant. The male was placed under arrest and eventually turned over to the Camden County Jail. The court date is pending.

On 6/9, a resident of S. Columbia Street reported that her garden solar lights had been damaged, possibly by juveniles in the area. She was advised to call the police if the juveniles returned to her property. No suspects have been identified at this time.

On 5/27, a resident of Logan Street was given a summons for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol after being seen drinking a 25oz Bud Ice beer outside Towne Liquor. Court date pending.

On 5/27, a Progress Avenue resident reported that someone had stolen his bicycle from his backyard. There are currently no suspects.

On 5/28, a resident of N. Evergreen Avenue reported that someone had smashed one of her vehicle’s windows and stole $30 while it was parked on Hunter Street. The victim suspects a neighbor but isn’t certain it was them. The incident remains under investigation.

On 5/28, employees at Heritage reported a shoplifting incident. They informed officers that an unknown male entered the store, placed several bottles of Tide laundry detergent, worth $63.91, into a bag, and left without paying. Detectives were able to identify the individual as a Glassboro resident. He has been charged with shoplifting, and a court date is pending.

On 5/29, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. While responding to the report, officers observed the described suspect standing in front of 524 N. Broad Street. Subsequently, officers placed the suspect under arrest, and the stolen merchandise was returned to CVS. Upon further investigation at headquarters, it was found that the male, a resident of Glassboro, had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was charged with shoplifting before being turned over to the sheriff’s department. This subject is the accused in a shoplifting incident that occurred at Heritage the day before. A court date is pending.

On 5/29, officers responded to a residence on Central Court for a report of a dog bite. The victim stated that as she walked to her car to retrieve something, her neighbor’s dog charged at her and bit her leg. The victim mentioned that the same dog had bitten her husband a few years ago. Animal control was notified and advised they would conduct an investigation. The dog’s owner was issued summonses for having dogs running at large and allowing the dog to bite a human. The court date for this matter is pending.

On 5/30, officers responded to Wick Blvd. for the report of an abandoned vehicle. An abandoned vehicle notice was mailed to the registered owner, a resident of Paulsboro. The notice advised that the vehicle must be removed within 10 days, or it would be towed, and summons would be issued. Officers will follow up in 10 days.
