On 5/20, officers responded to Lakeside Apartments for a theft complaint. The victim reported that she had placed 4 bags of groceries worth $116.00 by her apartment door and parked her vehicle. When she returned to open her apartment door, the bags were gone. After investigating the theft, a woman was identified as another Lakeside resident who paid the victim for the stolen items, which satisfied the victim. Officers advised the suspect to stop taking things that do not belong to her.

On 5/20, a Wilmington, DE resident was charged with trespassing after causing a disturbance inside McDonald’s on S. Evergreen Avenue and refusing to leave. Court date pending.

On 5/21, an officer responded to Ace Ford for a report of a stolen inspection sticker. Employees advised that a man entered their lot, got into an unlocked vehicle, and removed the inspection sticker. After investigating the incident, the suspect was identified and charged with theft and criminal trespass. A court date is pending.

On 5/22, a National Park resident turned himself in on an outstanding West Deptford traffic warrant. The subject posted money toward his bail and was released with a new court date.

On 5/22, the owner of KJ Essence Beauty Supply reported a criminal mischief incident. According to the owner, two females and two unsupervised juveniles entered the store and immediately went separate ways. The juveniles were seen opening hair gel and spreading it on the shelves and on several wigs. The authorities are working to identify the juveniles.

On 5/23, a resident of Allen Street was issued a traffic summons for careless driving after causing a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Mantua Avenue and Twells Avenue. Court date pending.

On 5/23, a resident of Beverly, NJ was issued a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol after officer’s observed him sitting at a table in Lot 323 drinking alcohol. This is not the first time this individual has been informed that drinking alcohol in public is not allowed. A court date is pending.

On 5/24, officers were dispatched to Spring Hill Post Acute Care for a trespassing complaint. They were informed that a former employee, who was owed money, refused to leave the building. The officers spoke to the woman and explained that her issue was a civil matter and should be directed to the corporate office, as they were responsible for paying employees. She was also informed that she was no longer welcome, and if she returned, she could be arrested for trespassing. The woman acknowledged that she understood and left without incident.

On 5/24, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. They informed the officers that a woman walked out with 15 boxes of Preparation H, totaling $164.85 in value. The officers were given a description of the woman and the vehicle’s registration. Once the woman is identified, she will be charged accordingly. The incident remains under investigation.

On 5/25, a resident of Delaware Street reported a criminal mischief incident. The homeowner said that a contractor working on his neighbor’s yard mistakenly removed his mature Hydrangea bush from his property. The homeowner provided before and after photos to the officers. The incident remains open.

On 5/26, a resident of N. Evergreen Avenue was charged with Contempt of Court for contacting his ex-girlfriend despite a no-contact order. Court date pending.

On 5/26, a resident of N. Evergreen Avenue was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Defiant Trespassing, Breach of Peace, and several Occupancy Standards violations. The court date is pending. Additionally, a warning letter was sent to the property management company regarding the recurring occupancy standard violations at this residence.

On 5/13, a Vineland resident received a traffic summons for careless driving after rear-ending a vehicle while stopped in traffic on Cooper Street. Court date pending.

On 5/13, during a motor vehicle stop in the Auto Zone parking lot, the driver received summonses for Possession of a weapon (a machete) with an unlawful purpose, Failure to exhibit insurance, registration, and driver’s license, driving without a valid license, maintenance of lamps, seatbelt violation, and inspection. Court date pending.

On 5/14, a Camden resident received a summons for criminal trespass after being found inside the McDonald’s bathroom when employees opened for business. Court date pending.

On 5/14, a resident of N. Broad Street reported that their vehicle’s rear window was smashed overnight. The victim provided officers with a name of a person they suspect may have caused the damage. Attempts to reach this person were unsuccessful. The victim was advised that a report would be on filed for insurance purposes.

On 5/14, officers served a restraining order on a resident of Fordham Road. The resident violated the order within one hour. The male was charged with contempt of court. Court dates are pending.

On 5/15, a Salem Avenue resident was issued a traffic summons for improper backing up after failing to check their surroundings and hitting the vehicle behind them. Court date pending.

On 5/15, a resident of Aberdeen Place received a summons for possessing an open container of alcohol after admitting to consuming it inside the Aldi bathroom. Court date pending.

On 5/16, a resident of Lincoln Avenue was issued a traffic summons for leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, failure to report an accident, creating the risk of an accident, and failure to exhibit a driver’s license, registration, and insurance card. This was the result of hitting a vehicle while backing out of a driveway on Glassboro Rd. The court date is pending.

On 5/16, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. They explained that the individual had placed an unknown number of items into his pockets and left the store. This male has a history of shoplifting. The officers were able to identify the male and found that he had been banned from the CVS in the past. The male was charged with trespassing and shoplifting. A court date is pending.

On 5/17, a Clementon resident was charged with DUI, careless driving, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to maintain lane, and DUI with a minor in the vehicle. Court date pending.

On 5/17, an employee at Towne Liquor reported a shoplifting incident. The employee stated that a woman took a bottle of Tequila valued at $68.99 and fled from the store. The authorities were able to identify the woman as a resident of Lansdowne, PA, and have pressed charges against her. A court date is pending.

On 5/18, officers responded to a residence on N. Evergreen Avenue for a harassment complaint. The complainant advised that she feels like her neighbor is harassing her and wants to make a report so she can file a complaint. Instructions on how to file harassment complaints with the Deptford Joint Municipal Court were explained.

On 5/19, a West Deptford resident was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to report a motor vehicle crash, causing a risk of a crash, and driving on the sidewalk after hitting two parked vehicles on Deptford Avenue. The court date is pending.

On 5/6, a resident of Aberdeen Place informed the police that he had received a call from a credit card company claiming that he was behind on his payment. Upon further discussion, it was discovered that two additional cards had been opened in his name without his consent. The victim provided information about the individual who had opened the accounts. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 5/6, a Deptford resident was mailed a warning letter advising him to remove his abandoned vehicle from a driveway on Chestnut Avenue, or it would be towed. The officer will follow up in 30 days.

On 5/6, a student was charged with criminal trespass after being observed riding their dirt bike on the artificial football turf and the track and field track belonging to Gateway School. Court date pending.

On 5/7, a Lincoln Street resident reported that someone intentionally flattened one of her vehicle’s tires. While changing the flat tire, a razor blade was found in the tire’s sidewall. There are no suspects at this time.

On 5/8, a Nelson Avenue resident was observed sitting in front of Towne Liquor, consuming alcohol. While providing identification, officers observed CDS fall from his pockets. The male was placed under arrest and charged with consuming alcohol in public and possession of cocaine. Court date pending.

On 5/9, a Morris Street property owner was issued a municipal ordinance violation for high weeds/grass and failure to secure building materials from blowing off the property. Court date pending.

On 5/10, a South Broad Street resident was charged with Simple Assault, Harassment, and Robbery as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. A TRO was granted for the victim. Court dates pending.

On 5/11, a resident of Lincoln Street received traffic summonses for careless driving and improper passing following a car crash at the intersection of N. Broad Street and E. Barber Avenue. Court date pending.

On 5/12, during a motor vehicle stop, it was discovered that the driver had two warrants for his arrest and was driving with a suspended license. Upon returning to headquarters, both jurisdictions released the male on his own recognizance (ROR) and provided new court dates. Before releasing the driver, he was issued traffic summonses for driving while suspended, window tint, and being an unlicensed driver. A court date is pending.

On 5/1, an S. Broad Street property owner was issued a summons for failing to clear away excessive bulk trash on and around the property. Court date pending.

On 5/1, a N. Maple Street property owner was issued a summons for high grass/weeds and trash/debris. Court date pending.

On 5/2, during a motor vehicle stop the driver was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. The male was ROR’d by the issuing municipality, Camden City PD and given a new court date. Before being released the driver was given traffic summonses for failure to stop, unlicensed driver, driving while suspended, and careless driving. Court date pending.

On 5/2, a North Woodland Avenue resident was issued summonses for an unlicensed dog and canine causing injury to a person after their dog bit a mail carrier, causing them to be transported to the hospital. Gloucester County Animal Control was notified of the incident. The court date is pending.

On 5/3, an E. Centre Street resident was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction, and breach of peace after causing a disturbance inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 5/3, officers observed a male inside a dumpster behind 70 S. Broad Street. The male was advised to place all items back into the dumpster and was issued a summons for Tampering with Trash Receptacle. Court date pending.

On 5/4, a Yulee, Florida resident was issued a summons for obstruction after officers responded to a S. Woodland Avenue residence for a disturbance. Court date pending.

On 5/5, a Deptford resident was issued traffic summonses for careless driving and failure to observe traffic lanes after hitting a car that was legally parked on Holly Avenue. Court date pending.

On 3/25, a Westville resident was charged with Lewdness, Breach of Peace, and Disorderly Conduct after causing a disturbance inside the Wawa on N. Evergreen Avenue and urinating on the side of the store. Court date pending.

On 3/26, officers responded to Wawa on N. Evergreen Avenue for a report of a shoplifting. Officers saw the accused driving out of the parking lot as they arrived. The vehicle continued to drive, ignoring the officer’s lights and sirens until finally coming to a stop in traffic. The suspect was placed under arrest, and his vehicle was towed. The suspect was charged with shoplifting and several traffic violations: Failure to Register, Failure to Provide Insurance, No Insurance, Careless Driving, Failure to Yield, and Failure to Stop for an Emergency Vehicle. Court date is pending.

On 3/26, a municipal ordinance violation was issued to a Mantua Avenue property owner for failing to repair sewage backup at their property. Court date pending.

On 3/27, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. The man placed several soap products into his backpack and walked out without paying. Once the man is identified, he will be charged accordingly.

On 3/27, the owner of Essence KJ Beauty Supply in Woodbury Heights reported a shoplifting from 3/17. The victim advised a young male entered the store and stole several hair care items. On 4/9, a juvenile was identified and charged with shoplifting.

On 3/28, officers responded to a property on S. Broad Street following a report of someone squatting inside an empty office space. Upon arrival, officers found a male inside the bathroom and subsequently placed him under arrest. It was later discovered that the male had an active warrant for his arrest. The individual was charged with criminal trespass and handed over to the Sheriff’s Department for transportation to Salem County jail. Court dates are pending.

On 3/28, the owner of Essence KJ Beauty Supply in Woodbury Heights reported a shoplifting incident. A woman entered the store and hid hair gel in her shirt. Although she did pay for other items, she left without paying for the concealed item. The officers identified the woman and told her that no charges would be filed if she returned to pay for the item. Soon after, the owner informed the police that the suspect had sent a family member to pay for the item, and no further action was needed.

On 3/29, Advance Auto employees reported a shoplifting incident. A male entered the store, removed a jump box valued at $199.00 from the shelf, and left without paying. There are no suspects at this time; however, if the male is identified, he will be charged with theft.

On 3/30, a resident of S. Broad Street was issued traffic summonses for driving with a suspended license, failure to have the vehicle inspected, and failure to have it repaired. Court date is pending.

On 3/31, officers responded to a dispute at N. Broad Street and Edith Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered that one of the individuals involved had urinated on the public bus stop bench. The female, a resident of Camden, was issued summonses for Lewdness and Breach of Peace. A court date is pending.

On 3/18, a Beech Avenue resident reported that someone stole a plate compactor which was bolted to his truck. The victim was unsure when it was stolen, as the truck had been sitting for approximately two weeks. There are no suspects currently.

On 3/18, an employee from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office reported that one of their vehicles had been damaged. A rock was thrown through the passenger side window. The suspect was identified as a juvenile. Instead of pursuing criminal mischief charges, an agreement was reached for a station house adjustment, and a counseling contract was set up.

On 3/19, officers conducting foot patrol in the area of Lot 323 observed a male sitting on a bench consuming alcohol. The alcohol was disposed of, and the individual was issued a summons for Possession of an Open Container. A court date is pending.

On 3/19, a Westville resident turned himself in on his outstanding warrants. Both jurisdictions issued new court dates and he was sent on his way.

On 3/20, officers assisted a Chestnut Ave. resident gain entry into their locked vehicle after leaving the keys inside of the vehicle.

On 3/20, officers responded to the parking lot of Corsi Dental to assist a citizen who locked their keys inside their car. Entry was made, and no other police assistance was needed.

On 3/21, officers responded to Family Dollar for a report of a dispute. The store manager informed the officers that a woman who was banned from the store was causing trouble and wanted her to be removed. The woman was issued a summons for trespassing and was advised to leave. A court date is pending.

On 3/22, a N. American Street resident was issued a summons for Dogs Running at large after observing their dog running in traffic on Delaware Street. The court date is pending.

On 3/22, a Hopkins Street resident was charged with Criminal Trespass and Breach of Peace after entering an unlocked home and sleeping on their sofa. Court date pending.

On 3/23, a Williamstown resident was issued a summons for Trespassing on a N. Broad Street property. Court date pending.

On 3/23, a resident of Westville informed the police that he wanted to report a rental vehicle as stolen. The man explained that a friend had asked him to rent a vehicle through Enterprise on his behalf, but the vehicle had not been returned and he was unable to locate his friend. The vehicle was reported as stolen in the NCIC database. Later that day, the vehicle was found in Washington Township, parked behind another Enterprise Rental location. The vehicle was returned to Enterprise and removed from NCIC.

On 3/24, Acme employees reported a shoplifting incident. They stated that a male entered the store and took approximately $200 worth of seafood. The employees provided a license plate number and a description of the male. The incident remains under investigation.

On 3/24, a Hopkins Street resident was charged with Criminal Mischief and Criminal Trespass after being found on a W. Centre Street property that belongs to the City of Woodbury. The building was secured.

On 3/11, officers responded to a residence on Beech Avenue following a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, both parties were yelling at each other because one party had asked the other to clean their room. Neither wanted to file complaints, and one person left the residence for the evening. No further assistance was needed.

On 3/11, a resident of Parkesburg, PA, was charged with contempt of court and cyber harassment after attempting to communicate with her ex-boyfriend, knowing she was served a temporary restraining order banning her from any contact with him. A court date is pending.

On 3/12, officers responded to Domino’s Pizza for a burglary. A passerby reported the front glass door was smashed out. The manager arrived and secured the door. On 4/9, after an extensive investigation, several juveniles were identified and charged with burglary. Court dates are pending.

On 3/12, a Camden resident was charged with contempt of court for calling her ex-boyfriend despite knowing she was not supposed to contact him. Court date pending.

On 3/13, the West Deptford Police handed over an individual with an active warrant in Woodbury. Upon handing him over, it was discovered that he also had warrants in Oaklyn and Camden City. After posting bail money, he was released on his own recognizance by the other jurisdictions and given new court dates.

On 3/13, a Penn Street resident was charged with possession of CDS and failure to deliver CDS after being arrested for active warrants. Court date pending.

On 3/14, a Westville resident was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault on Police, Disorderly Conduct, Hindering Apprehension, Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Consumption of Alcohol in Public, and Possession of Open Container of Alcohol after responding to a call where the accused attempted to assault a N.J. Transit bus driver. Court date pending.

On 3/15, officers responded to a shoplifting report at the Wawa on Rt 45. Employees reported that two juveniles entered the store and stole several items off the shelf. The males ran from the store without paying. On April 9th, both juveniles were identified and charged with shoplifting. Court dates are pending.

On 3/15, a resident of N. Maple Avenue was issued a summons for Dog Running at Large after her dog charged and bit a man on his thigh. Animal control was notified of the incident. Court date pending.

On 3/16, while conducting a property check of the Kiss Club, officers observed a male lying on a bench at the back of the property. The male was issued a summons for trespassing and then sent on his way. Court date pending.

On 3/16, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest out of Camden City. He was issued a summons for an unregistered vehicle and then turned over to the Camden City Police. Court date pending.

On 3/17, a resident of Hopkins Street was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a weapon, Large Capacity Magazine, Persons not to have a weapon, and Harassment, as a result of a temporary restraining order being filed against him. The individual was taken to the Salem County Jail, and a court date is pending.

On 3/4, a resident of High Street reported that her son’s electric scooter was stolen from under a pile of leaves while he was at school. Her son had ridden the scooter to school and hidden it under the leaves because he didn’t have a lock. A search of the area yielded no results. The incident is still under investigation.

On 3/4, officers were dispatched to JD Liquors for a shoplifting incident. They located a person matching the shoplifter’s description near N. Broad and Hunter Streets. The individual was found with the stolen alcohol, which was returned to the store. Additionally, the person had an active arrest warrant. They were charged with shoplifting and then handed over to the Sheriff’s Department for transport to Salen County Jail. Court dates are pending.

On 3/5, a Philadelphia resident was issued a traffic summons for an unregistered vehicle involved in a motor vehicle crash at N. Broad and W. Packer Streets. The court date is pending.

On 3/5, a Mickleton resident was charged with Assault by Auto as the result of a domestic incident that occurred in front of an Oak Avenue residence. Court date pending.

On 3/6, a resident of Westville was charged with driving while suspended, having no front license plate, failure to inspect, and being an unlicensed driver as a result of a traffic stop in front of 814 N. Broad Street. Court date is pending.

On 3/6, a resident of Asam Avenue reported that her blue recycling bin was stolen. She had placed it properly on the street before leaving to pick up her children, and when she returned a short time later, it was gone. There are no suspects at this time.

On 3/7, officers were dispatched to a Franklin Street residence for a dispute between siblings. Upon arrival, officers were informed that an argument had started over an Instagram post. Both parties were advised on how to file complaints with the Deptford Joint Municipal Court. No further police assistance was needed.

On 3/7, Wawa on Rt 45 employees contacted the police to report a shoplifting incident. Three individuals, two males and one female, entered the store, took merchandise from the shelves, and left without paying. The officers were provided with a description of the vehicle and license plate. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 3/8, officers were dispatched to Wells Fargo Bank in response to a robbery. An ATM technician was servicing the outdoor ATM when two men approached him and stole several cash cassettes. After a thorough investigation, one resident of Richmond, Texas, and one resident of Houston, Texas, were both charged with robbery and theft. A third suspect has yet to be identified, and court dates are pending.

On 3/8, a Westville resident was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Breach of Peace, and Obstruction of Justice after causing a disturbance inside Captain’s Corner. Court date pending.

On 3/9, a Deptford resident was charged with trespassing after being found inside a storage shed behind Walgreens. Court date is pending.

On 3/10, a resident of Mickleton was charged with trespassing and possession of CDS after a Salem Avenue resident contacted the police to report an unknown male tampering with his vehicle. Court date is pending.

On 3/10, a resident of Queen Street was charged with Simple Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Breach of Peace, and Disorderly Conduct as a result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 3/1, a High Street resident was issued a summons for trespassing after entering the Aldi, knowing he had been banned from the property for causing disturbances in the past. Court date pending.

On 3/1, during a motor vehicle stop, it was learned the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. The driver was ROR’d by the issuing jurisdiction and released with a summons for tinted windows. Court date pending.

On 3/2, West Deptford police detained a man with an active warrant out of Woodbury. The Gloucester City resident was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with possession of the CDS and handed over to the Sheriff’s Department. Court date is pending.

On 3/2, Acme employees reported a shoplifting incident. Employees informed officers that a male suspect loaded $212.00 worth of stolen merchandise into his vehicle and left the premises. While the employees were providing their statements, the suspected vehicle returned, and the police were able to arrest the suspect. The resident of Woodbury was charged with shoplifting and advised that he was banned from Acme. If he returns, he will also be charged with trespassing. Court date is pending.

On 3/3, officers were dispatched to Jiffy Lube for a burglary alarm that had been activated. Officers observed that the glass on the front and garage doors was broken. On 4/9, several juveniles were charged with burglary. Court dates pending.

On 3/3, a Camden resident was charged with burglary, theft of movable property, criminal mischief, and simple assault after breaking into a S. Jackson Street residence where her ex-boyfriend resides and removed property that did not belong to her. Court date pending.

On 2/26, while patrolling Route 45, officers observed a male digging through a cigarette disposal container in front of NAPA Auto Parts. The male was charged with Hindering after providing a false name due to having outstanding warrants for his arrest.

On 2/28, a resident of Deptford was charged with possession of CDS during a traffic stop. The person also received traffic summonses for failure to wear a seatbelt, driving an unregistered vehicle, and possessing CDS in a motor vehicle. Court date is pending.

On 2/29, a Myrtle Ave. resident was arrested and charged with simple assault as the result of a domestic that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.
