On 12/6, a resident of Camden was charged with shoplifting merchandise from a CVS store. Court date pending.

On 12/6, a resident of Stuart Street was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace for exhibiting threatening behavior towards shoppers at Acme. The court date is pending.

On 12/7, Wawa employees reported a trespassed male was back inside the store. Upon arrival, the male was arrested and charged with violating a trespass order. Court date pending.

On 12/8, employees from Family Dollar reported that a male shoplifted merchandise worth $207. On December 9th, a Mullica Hill resident was identified and charged with shoplifting. Court date is pending.

On 12/9, a Paulsboro resident was issued summonses for driving while suspended, unlicensed driver, improper use of high/low beams, and failure to make repairs. Court date pending.

On 11/20, a resident of High Street was arrested for stealing a bicycle after the rider fell off. The male suspect was in possession of hand tools that were previously reported stolen. He has been charged with two counts of theft and two counts of receiving stolen property. He has been lodged in the Salem County jail, and his court date is pending.

On 11/21, a West Deptford resident reported fraudulent use of his debit card at a Woodbury business. The victim advised he already reached out to his bank, and his card had been canceled. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/22, officers responded to a burglary at Buon Sapore Pizzeria. The front door was shattered, and money was stolen. Two males were identified and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. Court dates are pending.

On 11/23, a resident of Camden was issued summonses for trespassing and breach of peace. The incident occurred when the person returned to Wawa, a business from which they were previously banned. The individual was also bothering customers. The male was again warned not to return to the business, or else he would be charged accordingly.

On 11/25, a Sicklerville resident was charged with DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, and lewdness (urinating in public) as the result of a motor vehicle crash. Court date pending.

On 11/26, a resident of Camden was charged with trespassing and shoplifting after returning to CVS, where he had previously been banned and shoplifted store merchandise. Court date is pending.

On 11/26, a resident of S. Warner Street reported that someone picked up her cell phone that was dropped in front of her home. The phone was off; however, she sent a message to the phone asking for the phone’s return and a $100 reward. Once the phone was turned back on, it was located at Walmart, where it was discovered that it had been sold through a phone purchasing kiosk. Officers spoke with the kiosk company, and the phone will be returned to the owner. A resident of Paulsboro was identified as the person who sold the phone and was charged accordingly. The court date is pending.

On 11/13, a Chestnut Ave. resident reported an unknown male entered her unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. The vehicle was rummaged through, and nothing was taken. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/14, a resident of Camden received traffic summonses for reckless and careless driving, driving without a valid license, operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and leaving the scene of an accident. The court date is pending.

On 11/14, a Moore Street resident advised officers he sold a vehicle back in October and forgot to remove the tags from the vehicle, and the new owner failed to return them. The tags were entered NCIC stolen.

On 11/15, a resident of Woodbury was spotted on Crescent Avenue, looking through trash cans. The individual was informed that it is against the law to scavenge through someone else’s trash. As a result, the male was given a summons for scavenging and released. The court date is pending.
On 11/16, a Lafayette Ave. resident was charged with Aggravated Assault after a DV incident occurred outside the residence. Court date pending.

On 11/17, a U-Haul representative reported one of their pickup trucks as stolen. The vehicle had been rented on 11/3 and was scheduled to be returned on 11/4. As the vehicle was not returned, it was marked as stolen in the NCIC system. On 11/21, the Philadelphia police department located the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was not the original renter. The vehicle was towed, and the U-Haul representative was informed it had been found.

On 11/18, a resident of Green Street reported that three juveniles stole an Amazon package from their doorstep. The victim advised if the juveniles are identified she would just like to have her package returned. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/6, a Woodbury resident was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended and Unclear Plates due to a traffic stop in the area of Redwood and West Jersey Avenues. Court date pending.

On 11/6, police officers were dispatched to the parking lot at 231 N. Evergreen Ave. to investigate a theft of services. An employee of Star Cab company reported that a juvenile female and male passenger fled the scene without paying the cab fare. Despite efforts, the officers were unable to find the individuals. The investigation is ongoing.

On 11/7, a resident of Woodbury Heights reported a criminal mischief incident that occurred earlier that morning to the officers. The victim stated that some unknown individuals had placed political signs on his lawn and that he had noticed his sign opposing the Gloucester County Light Rail train was damaged. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 11/7, officers observed a known subject standing by the entrance of Adli stores. The male has been trespassed from Aldi due to causing a disturbance in the past. The male was issued a summons for trespassing with a court date pending.

On 11/8, a Paulsboro resident was issued summonses for speeding, failure to inspect their vehicle, and failure to provide proof of insurance during a traffic stop. A court date is pending.

On 11/9, police officers received an anonymous complaint about an abandoned vehicle on E. Center Street. The vehicle was inoperable and unregistered. The officers tried contacting the vehicle and property owners but were unsuccessful. A letter was sent to both the vehicle and property owners, informing them of the Woodbury Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance and giving them ten days to respond. There was no response after 18 days, so the vehicle was towed, and a summons was issued. Court date pending.

On 10/23, Dollar General employees reported a shoplifting incident. An unknown male concealed $200 worth of Gain laundry detergent and left the store without paying. Employees provided the police with a vehicle tag number, and the incident remains under investigation.

On 10/23, a Philadelphia resident was arrested due to an active warrant and transferred to the Salem County Jail by the Sheriff’s Department.

On 10/24, a Woodbury Heights resident was charged with Criminal Mischief, Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and Contempt of Court. The charges were filed for violating a court order prohibiting him from returning to his former residence. The accused was taken into custody and held in the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 10/24, during a traffic stop on Elm St., the driver was caught driving 40 mph in a 24 mph zone. The Woodbury Heights resident was released with summonses for Possession of CDS Heroin, Failure to Deliver CDS, Hindering Apprehension, and Speeding. Court dates pending.

On 10/25, the manager of Wawa on Evergreen Ave. reported a shoplifting incident that had occurred earlier in the day. A juvenile male had concealed merchandise and left without paying. Officers identified the juvenile and charged him with shoplifting. Court date pending.

On 10/26, an N. Evergreen Ave. resident was charged with Aggravated Assault as the result of a DV incident. Court date pending.

On 10/26, officers were dispatched to the area of S. Columbia Street in response to a report of an aggressive dog roaming around. Upon arrival, the officers spotted the dog running towards a residence and the dog was let in through the front door. Despite knocking several times at the residence, no one answered the door. As a result, summonses were issued to the resident via USPS, and a court date is currently pending.

On 10/27, a West Deptford resident was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Breach of Peace after being disorderly at the scene of a MV crash. Court date pending.

On 10/28, a N. Evergreen Ave. resident was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Breach of Peace, and Occupant Standards after causing a disturbance in the parking lot. Court date pending.

On 10/28, a Hemlock Terrace resident reported that his motorcycle’s license plate was stolen. The victim was advised to report the theft to the MVC, and the plate was entered NCIC as stolen.

On 10/28, officers were dispatched to Aldi in response to a report of a person causing a disturbance by yelling. Upon arrival, the officers observed a female who was yelling and exposing herself inside the store’s entrance. The officers called for EMS to check on the subject, who refused further medical treatment. The subject was then released with summonses for Breach of Peace and Lewd Behavior, and a court date is pending.

On 10/29, a resident of Woodbury was charged with driving without a license, improper use of a motorized bike, and driving the wrong way on a one-way street after causing a motor vehicle accident in the area of Route 45 and Holly Avenue. Court date pending.

On October 29th, a resident of Deptford was issued a summons for careless driving after hitting a parked car in the Martin’s Plaza parking lot. The court date is pending.

On 10/30, a resident of N. Evergreen Ave reported receiving harassing text messages. The subject was informed that a report would be filed and was advised on how to file complaints with the Deptford court. No further police assistance was required.

On 10/30, a resident of Queen Street reported that their shed was broken into overnight and a dirt bike was stolen. The subject broke the back fence in order to remove the bike. The stolen bike has been entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database as stolen. The incident is still under investigation.

On 10/31, the service manager at Pep Boys reported a customer had taken their vehicle from the back lot without paying for repairs totaling $1,143. Several attempts were made to contact the customer, but they were unsuccessful. The manager was advised on the process of filing a theft of service complaint with the Deptford court.

On 10/31, a resident of N. Evergreen Ave. was issued summonses for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol and Public Consumption of Alcohol. The resident was observed drinking the alcohol while walking eastbound on E. Red Bank Ave. and N. Broad Street. The court date is pending.

On 10/16, police officers were dispatched to a residence on Walnut Street in Woodbury Heights in response to a criminal mischief complaint. The residents reported that the newly poured concrete had been vandalized by unknown individuals just a few hours after it was laid. Fortunately, many of the residents were able to repair the damaged concrete sections before it hardened. The officers took photos of all the affected areas of the concrete. The incident remains under investigation.

On 10/16, K9 officer and K9 Adonis assisted Mantua Police with a motor vehicle traffic stop. Adonis detected the presence of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) inside the vehicle and was rewarded with a tug toy and praised for doing a great job. As a result of the detection, the driver was arrested by the Mantua police.

On 10/17, two men entered Wawa and started scanning items through the self-checkout. However, when employees noticed they were deleting some of the items, they approached the men and advised them to use the checkout service instead, as they were deleting the items. Eventually, both left the store without paying for the items. If the identities of the men are discovered, charges will be filed.

On 10/18 a Lindenwold resident was mailed a warning letter regarding their abandoned vehicle in a city lot. The vehicle has a flat tire, is unregistered, and has no tags. Officers will be following up in 10 days to ensure that the vehicle has been removed from the lot.

On 10/18, the owner/landlord of a property on South Broad Street was issued a summons for failing to register their rental with the city. A court date is pending.

On 10/18, a resident of Big Rock, Tennessee, was charged with careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident after hitting a pole on North Broad Street and Dubois Avenue and fleeing the area. Court dates are pending.

On 10/19, police officers were dispatched to Family Dollar in response to a report of shoplifting. According to the employees, two individuals walked out of the store with two laundry baskets filled with laundry detergent. The employees provided officers with the make, model, and tag number of the vehicle involved. Charges will be filed once the female suspects are identified. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 10/21, a resident of Naomi Avenue was charged with obstruction of administration of a law enforcement officer. The charge came after she called the police for assistance during a dispute with an employee of Crown Fried Chicken, and she provided a false name. Court date pending.

On 10/21, a Sewell resident was charged with criminal mischief, contempt of court, theft of a motor vehicle, and trespassing as a result of a domestic incident. A court date is pending.

On 10/22, officers responded to a N. Evergreen Apartment for a noise complaint.

On 10/9, CVS employees reported a male shoplifting. However, the suspects had already left before officers arrived. Employees explained the male dropped the bag of merchandise when approached by the employees. A search of the area to find the suspect yielded negative results. If the male is identified, he will be charged accordingly. The incident remains under investigation.

On 10/10, detectives charged a resident of Sicklerville and a resident of Camden with Forgery and Theft by Deception. They exchanged counterfeit money for real money. Court dates are pending.

On 10/11, during a routine traffic stop, the driver was found to have an active warrant for their arrest. The issuing municipality released them on their own recognizance, with a court date pending.

On 10/12, a resident of S. Warner Street was arrested and charged with Trespassing, Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Failure to Deliver CDS to the Nearest Law Enforcement Officer, Breach of Peace, and Disorderly Conduct. The subject was found hiding under a vehicle in a homeowner’s driveway. Court date pending.

On October 12th, a resident of West Deptford was issued summonses for multiple violations. The violations include driving while suspended, driving with an ID only, illegal window tint, failure to inspect the vehicle, failure to exhibit insurance, and no liability insurance. The driver was advised that she could not drive the vehicle and was asked to have someone pick her up. A court date is pending.

On 10/13, N. Bayard Ave residents were both arrested and charged with Simple Assault as the result of an altercation that occurred at the residence. Court dates pending.

On 10/14, officers responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle in the area of S. Davis Street and W. Centre Streets. The victim reported that she was delivering food for Doordash in the area. While she was walking down the street looking for the delivery location, someone jumped into her vehicle and drove off with it.
The next day, an off-duty detective saw the stolen vehicle in the Bell Lake Apartments. The vehicle tried to escape when the police approached and hit other parked vehicles as it fled. Several hours later, the vehicle was located in Paulsboro, and a juvenile was arrested. The juvenile was charged and taken to the Essex County Juvenile Detention Center.

On 10/15, a resident of Woodbury Heights was issued traffic summonses for driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident. The incident occurred after the driver crashed and disabled his vehicle near Elm Avenue and Third Street. A court date is currently pending.

On 10/1, a Myrtle Ave. resident was issued summonses for Criminal Mischief and Occupancy Standards, causing a disturbance at a rental. Court date pending.

On 10/2, a resident of Green Street was arrested and charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace following an incident at Heritage Store on North Broad Street. A court date is pending.

On 10/2, a S. Barber Avenue resident was charged with Criminal Mischief due to an altercation at a W. Centre Street residence. Court date pending.

On 10/3, property owners and landlords on Lafayette Avenue, Glover Street, and Hunter Street were sent municipal ordinance violations for various offenses. These offenses include violations for trash and debris, high grass and weeds, failure to obtain a certificate of occupancy, and failure to register a rental with the City. The violations were sent after the property owners and landlords failed to respond to warning letters. The court dates for these violations are pending.

On 10/4, a Progress Avenue resident was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 10/5, officers responded to a domestic incident on Lupton Ave and Delaware St. No charges were filed, and the parties separated.

On 10/5, a resident of Camden was charged with shoplifting from Evergreen Antiques. The stolen items were returned to the employees, and a court date is pending.

On 10/6, police were dispatched to a residence located on South Warner Street to investigate a report of a stolen vehicle. Shortly after, the vehicle was discovered in Paulsboro, and the victim was able to recover it and take it for repairs. Two unidentified men were seen running away from the vehicle. Upon their identification, they will be charged accordingly. The incident is still under investigation.

On 10/6, a Penn Street resident was charged with Simple Assault following a dispute with their neighbor. Court date pending.

On 10/7, during a traffic stop at S. Evergreen Ave and Hemlock Terrace, the driver was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The male was arrested and charged accordingly. Court date pending.

On 10/7, officers discovered a truck that had been reported stolen from Woodlynne, NJ. The Woodlynne Police Department was promptly notified and informed that they would contact the owner. The vehicle was towed until the owner could retrieve it. As of now, there are no suspects.

On 10/8, a resident of Camden was arrested and charged with Cause/Attempt Bodily Injury, Obstruction of Administration of Law, Refusal to be Fingerprinted, Breach of Peace, Consuming alcoholic beverage in public, and Possession of an Open Container. The woman was taken into custody and is currently held at Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 9/25, employees from the Woodbury Heights Wawa reported a man had shoplifted multiple items. It was later discovered that this was not the first time the man had shoplifted from the store, but previous incidents had not been reported. Several days after the incident, detectives identified the man as a resident of Mt. Royal Road in Mantua. The man was charged with shoplifting. Court date pending.

On 9/25, a Deptford Ave. resident was charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of Weapon, and Threatening to Kill as the result of a Domestic incident that occurred at the residence. Court date pending.

On 9/26, housing officials issued ordinance violations to the owner/landlord of Woodbury Manor Apartments. Court date is pending.

On 9/27, officers responded to a neighbor dispute on Watkins Avenue regarding trashcans and parking. The process of how to file complaints with the Deptford Court was explained to both parties.

On 9/27, a North Broad Street resident was charged with Simple Assault as a result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 9/27, a Wenonah resident was placed under arrest as the result of a traffic stop where it was found he was a Fugitive from Justice. The male was lodged in the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.
