On 1/26, a resident of Morris Street was charged with aggravated assault and simple assault following a domestic incident on South Broad Street. The individual was taken to Salem County Jail, and a court date is pending.
On 1/26, a resident of E. Centre Street was charged with careless driving, failure to maintain lanes, creating a risk of an accident, possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and driving under the influence. The court date is pending.
On 1/27, officers were dispatched to a residence on High Street regarding an unwanted individual. The property owner reported that one of their tenants was allowing her son to live in the apartment without being on the lease. The son had also damaged the door to the common area after being locked out. The owner was advised on how to file complaints with the courts for criminal mischief and informed about the eviction process.
On 1/28, officers were dispatched to a residence on North Evergreen Avenue in response to a theft complaint. The caller reported that she had been away for three days, and upon her return, she discovered that two televisions and a jar of coins were missing. The victim suspects an individual who was the only person with a key to her apartment. Management has since changed the locks to prevent this person from entering her apartment again. The incident is currently under investigation.
On 1/28, a resident reported that a 30-foot trailer with no tags had been parked on Queen Street. Officers spoke with the vehicle’s owner and agreed that the trailer would be moved by February 13; otherwise, summonses would be issued. Officers will follow up on February 13.
On 1/28, a resident of Woolwich Township turned herself in on an active warrant. The issuing municipality granted her an ROR and a new court date.
