On 5/27, a resident of Logan Street was given a summons for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol after being seen drinking a 25oz Bud Ice beer outside Towne Liquor. Court date pending.

On 5/27, a Progress Avenue resident reported that someone had stolen his bicycle from his backyard. There are currently no suspects.

On 5/28, a resident of N. Evergreen Avenue reported that someone had smashed one of her vehicle’s windows and stole $30 while it was parked on Hunter Street. The victim suspects a neighbor but isn’t certain it was them. The incident remains under investigation.

On 5/28, employees at Heritage reported a shoplifting incident. They informed officers that an unknown male entered the store, placed several bottles of Tide laundry detergent, worth $63.91, into a bag, and left without paying. Detectives were able to identify the individual as a Glassboro resident. He has been charged with shoplifting, and a court date is pending.

On 5/29, CVS employees reported a shoplifting incident. While responding to the report, officers observed the described suspect standing in front of 524 N. Broad Street. Subsequently, officers placed the suspect under arrest, and the stolen merchandise was returned to CVS. Upon further investigation at headquarters, it was found that the male, a resident of Glassboro, had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was charged with shoplifting before being turned over to the sheriff’s department. This subject is the accused in a shoplifting incident that occurred at Heritage the day before. A court date is pending.

On 5/29, officers responded to a residence on Central Court for a report of a dog bite. The victim stated that as she walked to her car to retrieve something, her neighbor’s dog charged at her and bit her leg. The victim mentioned that the same dog had bitten her husband a few years ago. Animal control was notified and advised they would conduct an investigation. The dog’s owner was issued summonses for having dogs running at large and allowing the dog to bite a human. The court date for this matter is pending.

On 5/30, officers responded to Wick Blvd. for the report of an abandoned vehicle. An abandoned vehicle notice was mailed to the registered owner, a resident of Paulsboro. The notice advised that the vehicle must be removed within 10 days, or it would be towed, and summons would be issued. Officers will follow up in 10 days.
