On 8/15, a High Street resident was issued traffic summonses for maintenance of lamps, unregistered vehicle, unlicensed driver, and fictitious plates. The plates were removed from the vehicle. Court date pending.

On 8/15, a Woodbury resident was charged with trespassing after returning to Aldi when he was made aware not to come back. The court date is pending.

On 8/15, officers responded to the J&D Liquor store for a report of shoplifting. Employees reported that an unknown male entered the store and asked if they carried a specific brand of alcohol. After the item was retrieved and scanned, the male took the bottle and ran out of the store. The incident is currently under investigation, and if the suspect is identified, appropriate charges will be filed.

On 8/16, during a traffic stop, the driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest. The male was placed under arrest and taken to the police station for processing. Afterward, the Sheriff’s Department transported him to the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 8/16, a Woodbury resident came to the police station to report an assault that took place the previous night. The victim stated that his friend had assaulted him over money owed. The officers explained the procedure for filing complaints with the Deptford court if he decides to do so.

On 8/17, Acme employees reported a shoplifting incident involving two females who stole over $4,149.64 worth of over-the-counter medication, cosmetics, and haircare products. On 8/20, detectives identified one of the women and charged her with 3rd-degree shoplifting and receiving stolen property. The other woman will be charged once she is identified. The court date is pending.

On 8/17, a Deptford resident was issued traffic summonses for careless driving and failure to provide insurance documents after causing an accident on Delaware Street.

On 8/17, a temporary restraining order was issued to a Second Street resident following an altercation inside the home. Court date is pending.

On 8/18, officers were dispatched to a High Street residence for a roommate disagreement. Both parties were advised how to sign complaints at the Deptford Joint Municipal Court.

On 8/18, a Paulsboro resident was charged with Simple Assault after a domestic incident occurred inside the victim’s vehicle. Court date pending.
