On 8/28, officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Wawa in Woodbury Heights. Employees reported that a man entered the store, filled a bag with energy drinks, and left without paying. The employees were able to provide a vehicle registration number and description of the man and the driver of the vehicle he fled in. On August 28th, detectives identified the male and charged him with shoplifting. The driver was also charged with shoplifting accomplice liability. Court dates are pending.

On 8/28, officers responded to Aldi for a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a female walked out with two bags full of laundry detergent. They stated that if the items were returned, they would not file complaints. Officers located the suspect, and she apologized for stealing. The items were returned to Aldi, and the woman was advised that she was no longer welcome inside the store. She was warned that if she returned, she would be charged with trespassing.

On 8/29, while patrolling the area of S. Broad Street, officers located a female who was known to have several active warrants for her arrest. She was processed at the police department and transported to the Salem County Jail. Her court date is pending.

On 8/29, a N. Evergreen Avenue resident was charged with simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child as the result of a domestic incident that occurred at the residence. Court date pending.

On 8/29, a Delaware Street resident was charged with simple assault as the result of a domestic incident that occurred inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 8/30, while conducting a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was processed at the police department and transported to the Salem County Jail with a court date pending.

On 8/30, officers responded to a resident on Chestnut Avenue regarding a barking dog. The caller reported that the dog had been barking non-stop for several hours. Attempts to contact the dog’s owner were unsuccessful. A summons was issued to the owner, and a court date is pending.

On 8/31, a resident of Morris Street was charged with criminal mischief, breach of peace, and several housing code violations after causing damage to the property during an altercation. Court date pending.

On 8/31, officers responded to a residence on N. Evergreen Avenue regarding a domestic incident. The caller was informed about her domestic violence rights and advised that she could apply for a TRO, which she refused.
