WOODBURY POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME BLOTTER FROM 2/20/2023 TO 2/26/2023
On 2/20 Officers responded to an E. Centre Street residence for a neighbor parking complaint. The caller was advised how to file a complaint with the Deptford Court. No further action required.
On 2/20 a Paulsboro resident was charged with Creating a Risk for Widespread Injury, Disorderly Conduct, Breach of Peace, Criminal Mischief, Littering, and Defiant Trespassing as the result of an incident at CVS. Court date pending.
On 2/20 an employee of Buon Sapore Pizzeria reported a juvenile removed money from their tip jar and left. The victim advised if the juvenile is identified he would like him banned from the establishment. No suspects at this time.
On 2/21 a Pennsauken resident was charged with DUI, Assault by Auto, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Possession of an Open/Unsealed Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Keep Right, Improper Passing, Failure to Stay in Clearly Marked Right Lane, Failure to Maintain Lane, Creating a Risk of an Accident, and several more traffic and municipal ordinances as the result of causing a motor vehicle crash on N. Broad Street. Court date pending.
On 2/21 an employee from J & D Liquor Store reported a shoplifting. A Camden resident and a Deptford resident were identified and charged with Shoplifting. Court date pending.
On 2/21 a National Park resident was charged with Defiant Trespass for being at a property where he was previously advised not to be. Court date pending.
On 2/22 a Sewell resident was taken into custody for outstanding warrants out of Runnemede. The male was issued summonses for Disorderly Conduct and Breach of Peace before being turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department. Court date pending.
On 2/22 a Woodbury resident was issued a summons for Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol. Court date pending.
On 2/22 the owner of a bus parked on Franklin Street was issued an abandoned vehicle warning letter. A follow up will be conducted in 10 days.
On 2/22 the owner of a trailer parked on Franklin Street was issued a warning letter regarding municipal ordinance: no trailers are to be parked on the street. A follow up will be conducted in 10 days.
On 2/22 a Woodbury resident reported fraudulent credit card purchases. The victim provided copies of their bank statement and provided officers with a suspect. Incident remains open.
On 2/22 a Deptford resident was charged with Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol and Consumption of Alcohol in Public as the result of a pedestrian stop on Mantua Ave. Court date pending.
On 2/22 a Cherry Street resident reported their car was entered into overnight. Some items were removed from the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
On 2/23 a Lafayette Ave., resident reported her son’s bicycle stolen from their home. The bicycle was located a few house later. If the juvenile suspects are identified charges will be filed.
On 2/23 a W. Centre Street resident reported that his vehicle was stolen from in front of his home. The vehicle has not been located and no suspects at this time.
On 2/24 a New York resident was issued a Careless Driving citation after damaging an EVgo Fast Charging Station in the Acme parking lot. Court date pending.
On 2/24 two Woodbury residents were charged with Defiant Trespassing on a N. Broad Street property marked “No Trespassing”. Court date is pending.
On 2/24 a Beverly, NJ resident was issued traffic summonses for Careless Driving and Driving without a Driver’s License as the result of her running a stop sign at Carpenter Street and S. Barber Ave., hitting another vehicle. Court date pending.
On 2/24 an employee from Pep Boys reported an unknown male rummaged through his vehicle while he was inside the business. Incident remains under investigation.
On 2/24 an employee from a business on N. Broad St. reported a brink was thrown through a window on the north side of the building. No suspects at this time.
On 2/24 a W. Centre Street resident reported someone is removing fencing from his property. He replaced the fencing twice and both times they have been stolen. The victim believes a former friend is taking the pieces but doesn’t have proof. The victim was advised how to file complaints with the Deptford Court.
On 2/25 a Pennsauken resident was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant and issued a traffic summons for Speeding. Court date is pending.
On 2/25 a Westville resident was issued summonses for Breach of Peace, Occupancy Standards, and Disorderly Conduct as the result of causing a disturbance at a rental unit on N. Evergreen Ave. Court date is pending.
On 2/25 a Camden resident was taken into custody and charged with Simple Assault as the result of a Domestic incident that occurred at a S. Broad Street residence. Court date pending.
On 2/25 a N. American Street resident reported someone entered their vehicle sometime overnight while it was parked in their driveway. They removed several personal belonging. No suspects at this time.
On 2/25 a Woodbury resident was issued a summons for Unregistered Vehicle while parked on Deptford Ave. Due to the vehicle having 4 flat tires, unregistered, and appearing to have been in place for some time, it was stickered with a 48 hour abandoned vehicle sticker. A follow up will be conducted in 48 hours.
On 2/26 a Philadelphia, PA resident was charged with Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief, and Occupancy Standards as the result of an altercation at a W. Centre Street residence. Court date pending.
On 2/26 a Nelson Ave resident report someone stole a bicycle from his yard. An unknown male was seen running across his lawn and taking the bike. No suspects at this time.
