On 10/14, during a traffic stop for speeding, the driver provided a false name to officers. It was discovered that the driver had an active extradition warrant for his arrest out of Bucks County. Before being turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s for transport to the Salem County Jail, he was issued a speeding ticket and charged with being a fugitive from justice. Court dates are pending.

On 10/15, while on patrol on S. Broad Street, officers observed a male urinating on the side of Town Liquor’s building. The male, a S. Broad Street resident, advised he couldn’t hold it the 2 blocks back to his apartment. A summons for lewd/indecent behavior was issued. Court date pending.

On 10/16, a Washington Avenue property owner was issued a summons for high grass/weeds and trash/debris after failing to rectify the issues. The court date is pending.

On 10/16, officers responded to the Aldi parking lot to assist a Mantua resident who had locked his keys inside his vehicle. Entry was made, and the caller was sent on his way.

On 10/16, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that the driver had an outstanding traffic warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality granted a release on recognizance (ROR) and released him with a new court date.
