On 2/12, police officers were called to Watkins Avenue to respond to a report of a man knocking on doors and asking for money. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found the man at the Heritage Dairy Store on North Broad Street. It was discovered the man had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. Consequently, he was taken into custody and handed over to the Sheriff’s Department for transportation to Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 2/13, officers were dispatched to Wawa on Rt. 45 for a gas theft report. Employees advised that a male pumped $75.00 worth of gas and drove off without paying. The manager explained that this male had stolen gas twice before but was not reported to the police. The incident remains under investigation.
On 2/14, officers responded to a theft of gas report at the Conoco located on Mantua Avenue. The manager advised a female driver left without paying for $39.00 worth of gas. The woman was identified as a Swedesboro resident who stated she didn’t have money for gas, so she drove off. The suspect was advised the manager would not press charges if she paid for the gas. She agreed and paid for the gas the following day.
On 2/14, East Greenwich Police turned over a subject who was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The Deptford resident was eventually turned over to the Sheriff’s Department, who transported him to Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 2/15, a New Castle, Delaware resident was charged with Credit Card Theft and Tampering with Evidence after being identified as stealing a wallet from a Woodbury resident’s vehicle on 2/1 and using those cards without her consent. The court date is pending.

On 2/16, a Wallace Street resident was issued summonses for driving while suspended, Failure to possess a driver’s license, failure to possess an insurance card, and being an unlicensed driver. Court date pending.

On 2/17, a Brooklawn Avenue resident reported that someone entered her vehicle overnight and took approximately $20 in coins and a center console holder. The incident is under investigation.
