On 2/5, officers noticed a man riding a scooter in the street near Rt 45 and Salem Avenue late at night. It was discovered the male had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was later ROR’d by the issuing municipality, who issued summonses for Lights and Reflectors, as well as Creating a Risk of an Accident. A court date is still pending.

On 2/6, officers responded to a North Evergreen Ave. residence for a violation of a restraining order. The victim advised a family member was served their restraining order but returned to the residence after being advised not to return. Officers made contact with the subject and placed them under arrest. He was charged with contempt of court and trespass before being lodged in the Salem County Jail. Court date pending.

On 2/7, a Turnersville resident was charged with Breach of Peace, Lewd/Indecent Behavior, Public Consumption of Alcohol, Possession of Open Container, and Littering after being located lying on a public picnic table intoxicated and unable to stand. The subject was turned over to EMS. Court date pending.

On 2/8, a Brooklawn Avenue resident reported someone removed the catalytic converter on a vehicle that was parked in front of his home. The victim was unsure when the theft occurred. The incident remains under investigation.

On 2/8, a Delaware Street resident reported his vehicle stolen. The vehicle was entered NCIC stolen. On 2/10, Camden City police recovered the victim’s vehicle on the streets of Camden. The owner was notified, and the vehicle was removed from NCIC. The incident is under investigation.

On 2/9, a Clayton resident was charged with possession of CDS and paraphernalia as the result of a pedestrian stop on S. Broad Street. The male was turned over to Camden County Police for an active warrant. Court date pending.

On 2/10, the police received a report of a shoplifting incident at Acme. The store employees reported seeing three suspects leaving the store with over $600 worth of merchandise without paying for it. The officers arrived at the scene and apprehended all three suspects. The stolen merchandise was recovered from the suspects and returned to Acme. The suspects were charged with shoplifting. Their court dates are pending.
