On 6/24, a N. Evergreen Avenue resident reported that both license plates were stolen from his vehicle between 6/20 and 6/21 while parked in his driveway. No suspects at this time. The plates were entered NCIC stolen.

On 6/24, a Deptford resident was charged with contempt of court for violating a restraining order by contacting the victim against the court’s order. A court date is pending.

On 6/24, officers responded to a parking complaint on Stuart Street. A box truck has been parked on the street since May, violating municipal code 190-10 which states, “Trucks with a gross weight being determined by the combined weight of the vehicle and load in excess of five tons (10,000 pounds) are hereby excluded from all local streets or parts of local streets except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such local streets”. Due to requests to move the truck being ignored, summonses were issued to the owner of the company that is renting the vehicle, Penske Corporation, and the CEO of Penske Corporation. Court dates are pending.

On 6/25, officers were sent to 603 N. Broad Street regarding a criminal mischief complaint involving several vehicles. The victim reported that a shirtless male had been throwing bricks over the fence, hitting several cars parked in the lot. While at the scene, officers witnessed someone throwing another brick over the fence, striking an additional vehicle. The officers then went to the suspect’s home, arrested him, and charged him with criminal mischief. A court date is pending.

On 6/25, a property owner on S. Broad Street reported that unknown individuals entered his property, which is currently being renovated, and stole a paint sprayer that belonged to the painter. No other damage was found at the property. This incident is currently under investigation.

On 6/26, the Woodbury Police assisted Deptford Police in apprehending a bank robbery suspect who had robbed the Fulton Bank and then fled into Town Market. Upon seeing the police, the suspect ran out the back door, where K9 Recon was waiting. The suspect, a resident of Westville, was immediately apprehended, arrested, and turned over to the Deptford Police without incident.

On 6/26, officers were dispatched to an E. Barber Avenue residence for a theft report. The victim advised that a family member forged two personal checks totaling $200.00. The victim was explained how to sign complaints with the Deptford Joint Municipal Court.

On 6/26, a resident of Vineland was arrested and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon after causing a disturbance within a Bell Lake Apartment. A court date is pending.

On 6/27, a resident of Cooper Street was seen walking and drinking an alcoholic beverage in the vicinity of N. Broad Street and Hunter Street. The Bud Ice was properly disposed of. The male was given a summons for possessing an open container of alcohol and then released. A court date is pending.

On 6/27, officers were dispatched to Lot 323 for a report of criminal mischief. A Lot 323 volunteer reported that someone cut the string lights used in the stage area and flipped over a wooden picnic table, breaking one of its legs. The cost to replace these items was estimated to be between $200 and $300. Although the volunteer suspects juveniles, there are no specific suspects at this time.

On 6/28, during a motor vehicle stop for a suspended registration, it was found that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The issuing municipality granted him an ROR with a new court date. Before leaving, the driver was issued a summons for driving with a suspended registration.

On 6/29, a resident of Camden was charged with aggravated assault and theft following a domestic incident in the vicinity of Woodlake Apartments. A court date is pending.

On 6/29, a South Broad Street resident was charged with aggravated assault after assaulting a visitor inside the home. Court date pending.
