12/25 – “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night”

On 12/26, a resident of High Street reported that the spindles on their porch were broken off and thrown onto their property overnight. The cost to repair the damage was $186. The incident remains under investigation.

On 12/26, an S. Evergreen Ave. resident reported she was preparing to go to her son’s home for Christmas and noticed her jewelry was missing. The victim advised she last saw the jewelry last Christmas when she wore it. There are no suspects at this time.

On 12/27, a criminal mischief complaint was filed in regards to the electrical panel located in the basement of K9 Kingdom. The property owner reported that an electrician had been called when the business realized they had no power. Upon inspection, the electrician concluded that the power outage was intentionally caused to the panel. The owner has suspicions that the boyfriend of one of the renters may be involved, as they are the only ones with access to the basement through the apartment. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 12/28, officers responded to a Curtis Ave residence for a neighbor dispute. The caller advised her neighbor was attempting to kick in her door and caused damage. Both parties were advised the incident would be documented and advised how to sign complaints if they wished.

On 12/29, officers responded to Acme for a shoplifting complaint. A store employee advised a former employee attempted to shoplift $307.00 worth of seafood. When confronted, the former employee handed the bag over and left. The suspect was charged with shoplifting. Court date pending.

On 12/30, officers responded to McDonald’s on N. Broad Street for an unwanted person. Employees advised the male has been banned from the property in the past and would like him removed. The male was escorted from the property and issued summons for trespassing, breach of peace, and disorderly conduct. Court date pending.

On 12/31, an S. Warner Street resident was issued a traffic summons for the unlicensed driver due to a motor vehicle crash at E. Red Bank Ave. and N. Broad Street. Court date pending.

On 12/18, a Penn Street resident was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace after creating a disturbance at his residence. Court date pending.

On 12/18, police officers were called to Lukoil due to an unwanted person. The employees at the gas station identified a man who was bothering customers and had gotten into an argument with one of them. The officers recognized the man and knew that there was an active warrant for his arrest. The individual was taken into custody and was later placed in the Salem County Jail. His court date is pending.

On 12/18, a Woodbury officer assisted Paulsboro police with a DUI.

On 12/20, a resident of S. Barber Ave. was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace after shouting extremely vulgar language, prompting neighbors to come outside and investigate. The court date is pending.

On 12/20, a former patient of Springhill Post-Acute Care reported that when she was discharged from the facility some of her belongings were left behind. She has attempted several times to speak to someone to retrieve these items but was met with negative results. The incident remains under investigation.

On 12/21, a resident of Cherry Hill was identified as the driver who received gas at Woodbury Heights Wawa on November 4th and had driven off without making payment. The male was charged with theft and has a court date pending.

On 12/22, a resident of Courtland Street was issued a summons for trespassing at Aldi. The individual had been previously warned not to enter the property. A court date is pending.

On 12/23, a Manor Ave. resident was charged with DUI. Court date pending.

On 12/24, police officers were dispatched to Wawa located on Evergreen Avenue following a report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with an individual who had previously been banned from the property. The male was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace, and his court date is pending.

On 12/11, police officers issued a summons to a resident of S. Barber Ave. due to their dog running loose in the street. The officers observed the dog running in and out of the street, causing vehicles to slow down or stop to avoid hitting the dog. Eventually, the resident came outside, picked up the dog, and took it back inside their home. The court date is pending.

On 12/12, Acme employees reported that a woman entered the store and filled a cart with laundry detergent. She then left the store without paying for the items. The employees provided a description of the woman and the vehicle she used to leave the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 12/13, a Camden resident was charged with Simple Assault and Criminal Mischief after assaulting his girlfriend and damaging her property. Court date pending.

On 12/14, a Mantua resident was arrested and charged with DUI, refusal to provide a breath sample, leaving the scene of an accident, obstructed windshield, failure to report an accident, and careless driving. Court date pending.

On 12/15, a Woodbury reported that her E-bike had been stolen while she was inside the Thrift Store. The bike had been locked, but the thief cut the lock. Several hours later, a suspect was identified and charged with theft. The court date is pending.

On 12/16, a customer of Pep Boys reported to the police that the driver’s side window of his vehicle was smashed overnight. The vehicle was parked behind the Pep Boys store while it was undergoing repairs. Another vehicle that was also awaiting repairs had its window smashed. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 12/17, an Emerson Street resident was charged with Criminal Mischief for kicking the mirror off another driver’s vehicle. In addition, the male was issued traffic summonses for delaying traffic, careless driving, and failure to use turn signals. The court date is currently pending.

On 12/4, a Barrington, NJ resident was charged with Criminal Mischief with damage after carving/scratching wording into the police cell door. The approximate cost to repair the damage is under $500.00. Court date pending.

On 12/5, a Woodbury resident reported losing his wallet at Acme. The victim spoke to Acme employees and was advised his wallet had not been turned in. After an investigation, a Gibbstown resident was charged with theft, criminal attempt, fraudulent use of a credit card, and receiving a lost credit card. The court date is pending.

On 12/6, a resident of Camden was charged with shoplifting merchandise from a CVS store. Court date pending.

On 12/6, a resident of Stuart Street was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace for exhibiting threatening behavior towards shoppers at Acme. The court date is pending.

On 12/7, Wawa employees reported a trespassed male was back inside the store. Upon arrival, the male was arrested and charged with violating a trespass order. Court date pending.

On 12/8, employees from Family Dollar reported that a male shoplifted merchandise worth $207. On December 9th, a Mullica Hill resident was identified and charged with shoplifting. Court date is pending.

On 12/9, a Paulsboro resident was issued summonses for driving while suspended, unlicensed driver, improper use of high/low beams, and failure to make repairs. Court date pending.

On 12/10, a Turnersville resident was placed under arrest and charged with Aggravated Assault on Police, Criminal Mischief, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Breach of Peace, and Obstruction of Law after police were called to the area of Nelson Ave for a DV incident. Court date pending.

On 12/1, officers were dispatched to a residence on Wallace Street to investigate a reported theft. The victim claimed that his tenant was selling items within the home that belonged to him. Upon questioning the tenant, it was discovered that he had indeed sold several of the landlord’s belongings. As a result, the tenant was charged with theft and fencing. A court date is currently pending.

On 12/1, the manager of Acme reported a shoplifting incident. A man entered the store with an empty cart and proceeded to the seafood section, where he placed four bags of shrimp into the cart and left the store without paying. The man was identified as a resident of Glassboro Road in Deptford and was charged with shoplifting $79.84 in seafood. The court date is pending.

On 12/2, a resident of Oaklyn was found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) during a traffic stop near the intersection of Broad and Newton Streets. The driver was issued summonses for possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. A court date is pending.

On 12/3, officers responded to a Manor Ave. residence for a dispute. A TRO was granted, both parties were served, and the aggressor was advised not to return to the residence. Court date pending.

On 11/27, a Chestnut Street resident was issued a summons for a dog running at large after her dog jumped a fence and attacked another dog. The other dog was not injured. Court date pending.

On 11/27, a Hunter Street property owner was issued a summons for not acquiring permits through the city for construction inside the residence. Court date pending.

On 11/28, a resident of E. Barber Ave. was arrested for shoplifting $297.89 worth of laundry detergent from Acme and for possession of CDS. The subject was taken to the Salem County Jail.

On 11/29, a Hess Avenue resident advised police someone had removed the catalytic converter from her vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/29, during a traffic stop in the area of Elm and Fourth Streets, a Philadelphia resident was issued traffic summonses for delaying traffic and driving without a license. Court date pending.

On 11/30, a Westville resident was issued a traffic summons for speeding in the area of 585 Mantua Ave. Court date pending.

On 11/20, a resident of High Street was arrested for stealing a bicycle after the rider fell off. The male suspect was in possession of hand tools that were previously reported stolen. He has been charged with two counts of theft and two counts of receiving stolen property. He has been lodged in the Salem County jail, and his court date is pending.

On 11/21, a West Deptford resident reported fraudulent use of his debit card at a Woodbury business. The victim advised he already reached out to his bank, and his card had been canceled. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/22, officers responded to a burglary at Buon Sapore Pizzeria. The front door was shattered, and money was stolen. Two males were identified and charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief. Court dates are pending.

On 11/23, a resident of Camden was issued summonses for trespassing and breach of peace. The incident occurred when the person returned to Wawa, a business from which they were previously banned. The individual was also bothering customers. The male was again warned not to return to the business, or else he would be charged accordingly.

On 11/24, a Lindenwold resident was charged with Simple Assault, Improper Behavior, Breach of Peace, and Occupancy Standards as the result of a domestic incident that occurred at a S. Broad Street residence. Court date pending.
On 11/25, a Sicklerville resident was charged with DUI, careless driving, reckless driving, and lewdness (urinating in public) as the result of a motor vehicle crash. Court date pending.

On 11/26, a resident of Camden was charged with trespassing and shoplifting after returning to CVS, where he had previously been banned and shoplifted store merchandise. Court date is pending.

On 11/26, a resident of S. Warner Street reported that someone picked up her cell phone that was dropped in front of her home. The phone was off; however, she sent a message to the phone asking for the phone’s return and a $100 reward. Once the phone was turned back on, it was located at Walmart, where it was discovered that it had been sold through a phone purchasing kiosk. Officers spoke with the kiosk company, and the phone will be returned to the owner. A resident of Paulsboro was identified as the person who sold the phone and was charged accordingly. The court date is pending.

On 11/13, a Sicklerville resident was issued a traffic summons for speeding in the area of Carpenter St. and S. Barber Street. Court date pending.

On 11/13, a Chestnut Ave. resident reported an unknown male entered her unlocked vehicle sometime overnight. The vehicle was rummaged through, and nothing was taken. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/14, a resident of Camden received traffic summonses for reckless and careless driving, driving without a valid license, operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, and leaving the scene of an accident. The court date is pending.

On 11/14, a Moore Street resident advised officers he sold a vehicle back in October and forgot to remove the tags from the vehicle, and the new owner failed to return them. The tags were entered NCIC stolen.

On 11/15, a resident of Woodbury was spotted on Crescent Avenue, looking through trash cans. The individual was informed that it is against the law to scavenge through someone else’s trash. As a result, the male was given a summons for scavenging and released. The court date is pending.
On 11/16, a Lafayette Ave. resident was charged with Aggravated Assault after a DV incident occurred outside the residence. Court date pending.

On 11/17, a U-Haul representative reported one of their pickup trucks as stolen. The vehicle had been rented on 11/3 and was scheduled to be returned on 11/4. As the vehicle was not returned, it was marked as stolen in the NCIC system. On 11/21, the Philadelphia police department located the vehicle and arrested the driver, who was not the original renter. The vehicle was towed, and the U-Haul representative was informed it had been found.

On 11/18, a resident of Green Street reported that three juveniles stole an Amazon package from their doorstep. The victim advised if the juveniles are identified she would just like to have her package returned. The incident remains under investigation.

On 11/6, a Woodbury resident was issued a summons for Driving While Suspended and Unclear Plates due to a traffic stop in the area of Redwood and West Jersey Avenues. Court date pending.

On 11/6, police officers were dispatched to the parking lot at 231 N. Evergreen Ave. to investigate a theft of services. An employee of Star Cab company reported that a juvenile female and male passenger fled the scene without paying the cab fare. Despite efforts, the officers were unable to find the individuals. The investigation is ongoing.

On 11/7, a resident of Woodbury Heights reported a criminal mischief incident that occurred earlier that morning to the officers. The victim stated that some unknown individuals had placed political signs on his lawn and that he had noticed his sign opposing the Gloucester County Light Rail train was damaged. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 11/7, officers observed a known subject standing by the entrance of Adli stores. The male has been trespassed from Aldi due to causing a disturbance in the past. The male was issued a summons for trespassing with a court date pending.

On 11/8, a Paulsboro resident was issued summonses for speeding, failure to inspect their vehicle, and failure to provide proof of insurance during a traffic stop. A court date is pending.

On 11/9, police officers received an anonymous complaint about an abandoned vehicle on E. Center Street. The vehicle was inoperable and unregistered. The officers tried contacting the vehicle and property owners but were unsuccessful. A letter was sent to both the vehicle and property owners, informing them of the Woodbury Abandoned Vehicle Ordinance and giving them ten days to respond. There was no response after 18 days, so the vehicle was towed, and a summons was issued. Court date pending.

On 11/11, a Deptford resident was issued summonses for improper use of high/low headlights, failure to inspect, and driving while suspended following a traffic stop. A court date is pending.

On 11/12, a resident of Turnersville was issued summonses for Disorderly Conduct and Breach of Peace after causing a disturbance during a pedestrian stop. Court date is pending.

On 11/1, employees of the Wawa store located on Route 45, reported a shoplifting. The suspect, an unknown male, put several items inside an empty stroller and left the store without making any payment. Unfortunately, the suspect was gone before police arrived. However, several days later, the same male was spotted in the same area while pushing a stroller and wearing the same clothing. The male was identified as the shoplifting suspect and was subsequently charged. Court date for the case is pending.

On 11/1, the city issued summonses to multiple property owners for not obtaining a certificate of occupancy and failing to register as landlords. Court dates are pending.

On 11/2, Police were called to a fight at Woodlake Apartments. A resident of Camden was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace. Court date pending.

On 11/3, a property owner reported to the police that a former tenant had caused damage to their property after being evicted from the premises. The estimated cost to repair the damages is expected to be thousands of dollars. The victim mentioned that they only required the incident to be documented for their insurance company and did not require any further police assistance.

On 11/4, employees from the Wawa located on Route 45 reported a gas theft. A male individual requested to fill his vehicle’s gas tank and claimed he would be paying cash. After the tank was filled for $107.00, the individual fled down Holly Avenue without paying. After several weeks, the suspect was identified as a resident of Cherry Hill and charged with theft of services. Their court date is currently pending.

On 11/4, an anonymous caller reported that an unknown man was ringing the doorbell of an apartment building. When law enforcement arrived, the man claimed to live there, but further investigation revealed that he did not reside at that location. The man was escorted off the property and warned not to return. It was later discovered that he had been previously banned from the premises. As a result, he was issued a summons for trespassing, and a court date is pending.

On 11/4, a resident of Westville was observed urinating in the parking lot designated for police personnel only, despite the presence of two signs indicating “Police personnel only” and “No trespassing”. As a result, the individual was issued summonses for trespassing, lewdness, indecent behavior, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace. Court date is pending.

On 11/5, police officers were dispatched to TD Bank for an unwanted individual. Upon their arrival, they found the male inside the bank. The officers already knew that this same individual had been trespassed from the bank the day before. The male was then issued summonses for defiant trespassing and breach of peace. He was warned again not to return to TD Bank, and his court date is pending.

On 11/5, a Woodbury resident was charged with DUI. Court date pending.
