On 3/1, K9 Adonis and his partner assisted the Deptford Police Department with a motor vehicle stop involving controlled dangerous substances. K9 Adonis located the substances and was rewarded. No further assistance was needed from K9 Adonis and his partner.

On 3/1, during a traffic stop, the driver, a Sicklerville resident, was found to have an active arrest warrant. The issuing municipality, Washington Township, granted a release on recognizance (ROR) and scheduled a new court date. The individual received a summons for not wearing a seatbelt and for driving with a suspended license. The court date is still pending.

On 3/2, officers were dispatched to a residence on S. Barber Ave in response to a fire. Upon arrival, flames were visible inside one side of the duplex. The Woodbury Fire Department, with assistance from neighboring departments, extinguished the fire. It was determined that the fire was caused by a cigarette that had been put out on a makeshift plastic ashtray. Fortunately, no one was injured, and the American Red Cross was contacted to provide housing assistance for the victims.

On 3/2, officers were dispatched to Acme to respond to a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male had taken several packages of Tide Pods worth $80 and left the store without paying. Officers observed a man walking near Performance Dodge who matched the suspect’s description and was carrying a large black trash bag. A pedestrian stop was conducted, and he was positively identified as the shoplifting suspect possessing the Tide Pods. The items were returned to Acme, and the male, a resident of Lindenwold, was charged with shoplifting. A court date is pending.

On 3/3, officers were dispatched to Acme for a brush fire. The Woodbury Fire Department arrived and successfully extinguished the fire. Employees provided a description of a male who was last seen walking away from the scene. Detectives positively identified him as a resident of S. Columbia Street, and he has been charged with arson. A court date is pending.

On 3/3, a resident of Bellmawr walked into police headquarters to turn himself in for any active warrants he might have. The warrant was confirmed, and he was transferred to Deptford for processing. No further assistance was needed.

Update on the Ford Avenue raccoon: The raccoon has refused to enter the humane trap for transport to a more suitable area for its lifestyle. Instead, the raccoon is playfully posing for the camera outside the trap. Raccoon: 2, Homeowner: 0.

On 2/1, a resident of Westville was observed standing in front of McDonald’s with an open container of alcohol. The alcohol was disposed of, and a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol was issued. A court date is pending.

On 2/2, a Philadelphia, PA resident was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm with an unlawful purpose, possession of a weapon, possession of dum-dum bullets, and possession of a large capacity magazine. Several traffic summonses were also issued. Court date pending.

On 2/3, a property owner on Washington Ave. was issued a summons for failing to resolve high weeds/grass and low-hanging branches blocking an intersection view. The court date is pending.

On 2/3, officers responded to a burglary report at a business on Delaware Street. Upon arrival, they found that the front glass door and an interior glass door had been shattered. The owner informed them that approximately $100 had been stolen from an office, but nothing else appeared to be missing. The incident is currently under investigation.

On 2/3, a Blackwood resident was issued two summonses for disorderly conduct and two summonses for breach of peace after causing a disturbance at a Myrtle Avenue residence and again at Inspira. The court date is pending.

On 2/3, a resident of Queen Street was charged with shoplifting $112 worth of merchandise from Dollar General. A traffic summons for an unregistered vehicle was also issued. The court date is pending.

On 1/2, a property owner on S. Barber Avenue was issued a municipal ordinance violation for failing to resolve the sewage odor coming from the property. A court date is pending.

On 1/3, the director of Loud Labs reported an employee theft. The director confirmed that the employee was terminated, and police were called immediately after. The male, a Penns Grove resident, was charged with theft. The court date is pending.

On 1/3, a Swedesboro resident was charged with criminal mischief after causing damage inside Giant Fitness. Court date is pending.

On 12/1, a resident of Hemlock Terrace reported that his motorcycle was stolen from his driveway. The keys were left in the ignition. The motorcycle has been entered into the NCIC as stolen. The incident remains under investigation.

On 12/1, a Bell Lake Apartment resident and their guest were issued summonses for breach of peace, occupants standards: all guests shall obey laws and ordinances, living at a rental and not on the lease, and nuisance as the result of an altercation that occurred inside the residence. Court dates are pending.

On 12/1, a Woodbury resident was seen throwing corn and feeding geese near the newly renovated Woodbury Midget Football field. According to New Jersey state law, feeding wildlife is illegal. A summons was issued, and the court date is pending.

On 12/2, a 23-year-old male threw a rock through the front door of the police department, shattering the glass and causing panic to a woman who was inside. The male was arrested and charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, simple assault, and breach of peace before being lodged at the Salem County Jail. The court date is pending.

On 12/2, during a traffic stop, it was discovered that both the driver and the passenger had outstanding warrants for their arrests. The issuing municipalities granted releases on recognizance (ROR) for both individuals and provided them with new court dates. Additionally, the driver was issued summonses for several violations: driving with a suspended registration, failing to provide a driver’s license, having tinted windows, failing to signal, not having valid insurance, and driving with a suspended license. She explained that he knocks on her door early in the morning, approaches her when she is leaving or returning home, and makes rude comments in front of her children. The victim was advised on how to file complaints with the court.

On 11/1, while patrolling near Towne Liquors, officers observed a male individual drinking a 20-ounce Bud Ice. After identifying him as a resident of Salme, the officers discovered that he had an active arrest warrant from Atlantic County. He was granted a release on his own recognizance (ROR) and issued summonses for possession of an open container and public consumption of alcohol. A court date is pending.

On 11/2, officers were dispatched to Acme regarding a shoplifting incident. Store employees reported that a male and a female entered the store and filled a shopping cart with merchandise valued at $286.40. As the suspects made their way to their vehicle, staff followed them, requesting the return of the stolen items. The suspects then got into their vehicle and drove away, leaving the cart of merchandise behind. Detectives later identified both suspects: a woman who resides in Mount Laurel and a man who lives in Pill Hill. Both individuals have been charged with shoplifting, and court dates are currently pending.

On 11/4, Mantua Police informed officers about a burglary that occurred in their area. They discovered more stolen items inside a suspect’s storage unit located on Woodbury Glassboro Road in Woodbury Heights. The suspect, a resident of Wenonah, has been charged with receiving stolen property. A court date is pending.

On 11/4, a Camden resident received several traffic summonses for driving an unregistered vehicle, failing to provide proof of insurance, displaying fictitious tags, and violating an ordinance related to fictitious tags. The driver was informed that she could not operate the vehicle until it was properly registered and insured. A court date is pending.

On 10/1, a resident of Delaware Street and a resident of Myrtle Avenue were both issued summonses for possession of an open container and consuming alcohol in public after officers observed them drinking in the parking lot of a Delaware Street residence. Court dates are pending.

On 10/1, while patrolling N. Evergreen Avenue, officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked inside the fenced area around the National Guard Armory. The passenger, who is a resident of Cherry Hill, was found to have active warrants for his arrest in Camden City. The individual was arrested, processed, issued a summons for trespassing, and handed over to the Camden County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 10/1, a resident of Turnersville reported that his vehicle had been stolen. The victim explained that he had gone to Camden to purchase tires for his vehicle. While there, an unknown female asked for a ride to Woodbury, which he agreed to. They arrived at the Bell Lake Apartments, where he exited his vehicle to urinate behind the dumpsters. When he finished, he observed the female pulling out of the parking lot with his vehicle. The vehicle was reported stolen in NCIC.

On 10/2, officers were sent to the Conoco gas station on Mantua Avenue to respond to an unknown dispute. The victim reported that he was assaulted, and his bicycle was stolen. According to the victim, a male approached him and demanded $20, threatening to steal his bike if he didn’t comply. As the victim didn’t have the money, the suspect threw his bike behind the gas station. When the victim tried to retrieve his bike, another male punched him multiple times and stole the bike. These individuals were identified as residents of Westville and Woodbury. They were charged with robbery, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace.

On 10/2, officers were sent to the area of Hunter and North Maple Streets in response to a harassment complaint. The caller reported that while he was walking down the street, his ex-girlfriend’s mother began yelling at him, using derogatory language, and threatening to have people assault him. The person causing the disturbance had left by the time the police arrived. The caller was informed about the procedure for filing complaints with the Deptford Courts.

On 10/2, officers were dispatched to a residence on N. Broad Street regarding a missing catalytic converter. The caller reported that she was having her vehicle scrapped and the tow operator informed her that the catalytic converter had been removed from the vehicle. She believed the incident could have occurred between August 25th and September 7th but did not have any suspects at the time. Several hours later, the caller contacted the officers to inform them that the tow truck operator was mistaken, and the catalytic converter was still intact on her vehicle. No further assistance was needed.

On 10/3, two residents of Delaware Street were charged with possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to deliver CDS to the police. Both have pending court dates.

On 10/3, a Westville resident was arrested for an active warrant out of Woodbury. The subject was processed and lodged in the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending.

On 9/1, a Wenonah resident was issued traffic summonses for driving while their license was suspended, failure to provide proof of car insurance, and being an unlicensed driver. The court date is pending.

On 9/1, officers were called to Wawa on N. Evergreen Ave. for a shoplifting incident. The employees gave a detailed description of the suspect, the vehicle, and the vehicle registration number of the male who fled the scene. After a brief investigation, officers identified the vehicle owner and the male suspect in the shoplifting. The male, a Deptford resident, was charged with shoplifting, and a court date is pending.

On 9/2, officers observed a woman spraying spray foam on the street, sidewalk, and trees. The resident of Camden was issued summonses for disorderly conduct, breach of peace, and littering. The court date is pending.

On 9/2, while patrolling the area of E. Barber Ave., officers observed a male with an open container of alcohol. The alcohol was disposed of, and a summons for possession of an open container of alcohol was issued. The court date is pending.

On 9/2, while on patrol, officers observed a female sleeping in her vehicle in Rotary Park. Officers conducted a pedestrian stop and discovered that she had a warrant for her arrest out of Runnemede. Runnemede granted her release on her own recognizance (ROR) and issued a new court date.

On 9/3, a Myrtle Ave. resident was charged with simple assault, harassment, improper behavior, and breach of peace after assaulting a postal employee. The court date is pending.

On 9/3, an employee of Spirits Warehouse reported one of their U-Haul rentals stolen. The vehicle was supposed to be returned on August 16, 2024. Attempts to reach the renter, a resident of Gloucester City, were unsuccessful. After a brief investigation, Gloucester City police located the vehicle. The owner was contacted, and the vehicle was towed at the owner’s request. The female who rented the vehicle was charged with vehicle theft, and the court date is pending.

On 9/4, a Camden resident was charged with DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain lane, creating the risk of an accident, and failure to report an accident. His court date is pending.

On 9/4, a resident of Packard Avenue reported that her vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. The victim stated that the vehicle was parked in her driveway, unlocked, with the keys inside. She mentioned that she didn’t know anyone who would have taken her vehicle. The vehicle has been entered into NCIC as stolen, and the incident remains under investigation.

On 8/2, officers responded to Aldi due to a complaint of a male harassing customers for money. Officers made contact with the individual and issued summonses for trespassing and soliciting. The male was advised not to return to Aldi. Court date is pending.

On 8/2, a Pennsville resident was charged with DUI and reckless driving. Court date pending.

On 8/3, a Westville resident came to the police headquarters to surrender regarding an active traffic warrant. The individual was released on their own recognizance by the issuing municipality and given a new court date.

On 8/4, summonses were issued to three subjects for possession of an open container of alcohol. They were observed sitting in Lot 323, consuming alcohol. The alcohol was properly disposed of, and court dates are pending.

On 8/4, Camden Metro contacted officers to inform them they had a female in custody with an active warrant out of Woodbury. The female did not have money for bail. Woodbury Police met Camden Metro at Brooklawn Circle, and the subject was transferred to their custody. Upon arrival at headquarters, it was discovered that the female had money to post towards her bail. The money was accepted, a new court date was set, and she was released.

On 3/1, during a motor vehicle stop, it was learned the driver had an active warrant for their arrest. The driver was ROR’d by the issuing jurisdiction and released with a summons for tinted windows. Court date pending.

On 3/2, West Deptford police detained a man with an active warrant out of Woodbury. The Gloucester City resident was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was charged with possession of the CDS and handed over to the Sheriff’s Department. Court date is pending.

On 3/2, Acme employees reported a shoplifting incident. Employees informed officers that a male suspect loaded $212.00 worth of stolen merchandise into his vehicle and left the premises. While the employees were providing their statements, the suspected vehicle returned, and the police were able to arrest the suspect. The resident of Woodbury was charged with shoplifting and advised that he was banned from Acme. If he returns, he will also be charged with trespassing. Court date is pending.

On 3/3, officers were dispatched to Jiffy Lube for a burglary alarm that had been activated. Officers observed that the glass on the front and garage doors was broken. On 4/9, several juveniles were charged with burglary. Court dates pending.

On 3/3, a Camden resident was charged with burglary, theft of movable property, criminal mischief, and simple assault after breaking into a S. Jackson Street residence where her ex-boyfriend resides and removed property that did not belong to her. Court date pending.

On 12/1, officers were dispatched to a residence on Wallace Street to investigate a reported theft. The victim claimed that his tenant was selling items within the home that belonged to him. Upon questioning the tenant, it was discovered that he had indeed sold several of the landlord’s belongings. As a result, the tenant was charged with theft and fencing. A court date is currently pending.

On 12/1, the manager of Acme reported a shoplifting incident. A man entered the store with an empty cart and proceeded to the seafood section, where he placed four bags of shrimp into the cart and left the store without paying. The man was identified as a resident of Glassboro Road in Deptford and was charged with shoplifting $79.84 in seafood. The court date is pending.

On 12/2, a resident of Oaklyn was found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) during a traffic stop near the intersection of Broad and Newton Streets. The driver was issued summonses for possession of CDS and drug paraphernalia. A court date is pending.

On 12/3, officers responded to a Manor Ave. residence for a dispute. A TRO was granted, both parties were served, and the aggressor was advised not to return to the residence. Court date pending.
